Hey, so I just found this page of the beta site:
(It's basically /read.)
I was previously talking with someone about staff applications and an idea formed in my head that if you were accepted or denied, you could be told here and in /read. There could be a voting system where the staff could click an accept/deny button at the end of the report, and when an application receives a certain amount of denies they, of course, get denied and are notified.
If they got a certain amount of accepts, they would go through a filter which sorts through people who are active and those who aren't. If they haven't been active for, say, the past 90-180 days (3-6 months) on any BL service (server, discord, forum) then they would be denied because you could end up accepting someone who's left or inactive. (If they're only active on one service, eg the forums, then they will get past. For discord, it can filter people based on the last time they sent a message to any of the channels as they could be active, but on other servers only)
Anyway those that get past all that could then be discussed between the staff about who's the best choice or whatever. Also I think that if nobody is sorting through the applications then there should be at least 2 or 3 staff members assigned to it—there is a slight lack in staff and some are way more active than others so it would help, I think.
Oh yeah also, if the application isn't reviewed within 30 days, it will get put to the front of the list. Or you could just sort the applications oldest to newest. Actually I think oldest to newest is better but idk.
