Someone duplicating golden apples.

So i rushed over to this guy's island at the very start of the game and i killed him. After looking in the chests on his island i found that he had 8 golden apples.

He was also the first person killed so it was definitely his island.

And i also got rid of them.

I killed a guy and guess what ? In my inventory , the gapples, there was 99+ !! I dunno if its the guy that duplicated or its a staff
