Hellow!
My nick is velx and today i wanna share my tactics at OITC. In general this thread created for new players.
Let's start!

Sword:
About Sword:
The simplest sword. What else do you want to know about it?

This is a really bad tactic of "constantly getting into battle". Also, never get into the crowd.
But don't camp! The best way to get kills is to 1v1 with someone. If you will always get into crowd you will die first lol don't do it!

Bow:
About Bow:

The Bow can kill with one hit.
At the beginning of the game you get 2 arrows, after you got killed you will get only 1 arrow.
When you don't hit the enemy with an arrow you lose it.

How do I use it?
At the beginning of the the game you can easily get some kills with bow (if you have a good aim ofc ). It's also good to use it to shoot the crowd. If someone is following you, you can turn around and kill him/her.

Compass:
About Compass:
You can use it to teleport to nearest player.
After teleportation, it needs some time to recover.

How do I use it?
What i really like to do, is to use compass after i got killed. While you have an invincibility you can easily combo that player.
Better not to use it once it's recovered.

Map:
What kind of map is best for OITC?
In my opinion, it is the best to play on maps with a lot of free space. It doesn't have to be large, but worse than anything when the map is small.
Also I think it's best to choose old maps.

Weather/Time of Day
Weather:
Best weather for pvp is Clear.
Don't choose Rain or Blizzard.
You can choose Snowy, i also like it.

Time of Day:
Best TOD for pvp is Day/Sunrise/Sunset.
Night is bad, cause you lose Night Vision effect after you got killed first time.

Well, that's it! Thanks for reading! Hope this was helpful. Have a nice day, Bye!

I personally don’t think there are really any tips to use in oitc. You just need to know how to pvp and aim a bow! :two_hearts:
The compass will always be there for players and camping is sort of a unique way to win. It’s the most ideal way to save your lives but not suggested!

Can you list some please because im not aware of any tricks that can be useful :embarrased:
Uh I’ll list one and I’ll list more if you want

running backwards in a 1v1 situation when you don’t have your compass but you know the other player does

this way, when they teleport, they’ll spawn in front of you for ez kill

logic, but ig its useful in some ways for the new players, since a lot of them don't know what the compass is for, nor the instant kill bow.

I feel like the Bow is the most important thing in OITC. Yes, you can use the compass very strategically, but it has a cooldown and it might work against you (Lets you teleport directly behind a person and another person shoots an arrow at that exact person from behind.... you're the one that died because you teleported. The sheer power of a one shot bow is unreal, and most people are good at pvp, so you'll be taking much more of a risk of dying/ getting 3rd partied then if you use a bow.
The most important SKILL to win OITC is probably logic/problem solving. I am like top 45 in alltime OITC legends even though I haven't played in 2+ years and I ABSOLUTELY SUCK AT OITC, but every game, I kept track of the all the players lives, and who is the biggest threat to my chance of winning.
I'll leave y'all with one really underrated tip with the OITC bow that I ALWAYS used, but I saw barely anyone do... When you have an arrow, and someone scary is chasing you with a sword (and you know you'll lose), lead them into a stairway and shoot when you get to the top. Most stairways into OITC are 1-3 blocks wide, so you have a 33% chance ATLEAST to one-shot them. If you have 1-2 more seconds you can aim and almost always hit them... Furthermore if they're in a 3 block space they can't dodge easily... I used this since day 1 of OITC and its worked almost 95% of the time..
