After playing on Brokenlens for a while, I have some suggestions, pros, and cons of the minigames, as well as minigame suggestions. Note that these are 100% my opinion and that this is meant to be taken lightly.
I actually had an account on BrokenLens a few years ago, but now it's gone forever after the 1.2 update (username was "Link3000").
All of the minigames with the pros and cons are listed from least favorite ---> favorite
Note that I have never played One in the Chamber, I will post my opinions on it here after I play it.
#15: Skywars and Team Skywars
A lot of people will probably hate me for this, but skywars and team skywars on BrokenLens are my absolute least favorite minigames on BrokenLens.
Pros
-Some maps are colorful/colourful and creative
Cons
-TNT explosions are laggy
-Block breaking is laggy
-Chest look kinda sucks
-Maps are way too small
-Because of this, I find that I get rushed way more than I should be
-(This one is quite dumb but) No sudden death (Enderdragons keep spawning in or some other thing meant to kill players after a few minutes)
-Some maps, on the other hand, are quite dull in my opinion
#14: Micro Battles
Congratulations this is the laggiest minigame for me yaaaaaaaay
Pros
-Maps are small enough where you can't just camp out somewhere and win
-Lava moat dividing team sections prevent from effortless rushing
If you do get rushed, it is easy to react to
Cons
-Still pretty easy to get rushed
-Healing items (food) are very laggy to use
-Either the food doesn't get used up at all or all of it gets used up at once (at least for me)
-Not having a kit gives a huge disadvantage in battle
-Breaking blocks is laggy
#13: TNT Tag
I like this minigame a lot more than the last 2. However, it still ends up being number 13.
Pros
-Taggers have speed so they can catch up to the Runners
-Maps are fun to play on
-You can still take down runners with you even if you never tagged them (just gotta be close enough)
Cons
-Maps are too big
-It gets to the point where the runners can just hide from the taggers and never be found
-Taggers are still too slow
-The timer runs down so quickly that even the taggers won't catch up to the runners in time before exploding
-(this one is also quite dumb) There are too many taggers at once
#12: Survival Games and Team Survival Games
Don't get me wrong; Survival Games and Team Survival Games are extremely fun, especially with a lot of players. I still do have problems with them though.
Pros
-From seeing what the best loot is, the chest loot doesn't suck
-Maps are big enough where you can escape from being chased
-PVP is fairer, as there are no kits and you kinda have to be lucky from what chests you look into
Cons
-The chests are way too generous with the food
-Once at the deathmatch, I was fighting someone but they wouldn't die because they had too much food on them
-Pretty uncreative deathmatch
-What I would prefer is a completely new but small arena with lava EVERYWHERE (but you know this is just my trashy opinion)
#11: [Beta] Mob Wars
I'm glad BrokenLens finally added something like bedwars :D
Pros
-Generators give loot at a reasonable rate
-Maps are quite creative
-Shops have reasonable prices
Cons
-The mob is way too fat and is hard to defend
-Usually, by the time I have the resources to fully defend the mob, someone already murdered it
-The hitbox is so big, meaning if someone is killing your mob and your entire team is chasing after that person, the person can just strafe out of the way and kill your mob
-I really cannot emphasize this enough: the mob is WAY too fat to be viable for games. Maybe replace it with a bed or cake and make it bedwars or cake wars?
-Maps are small
-I know that this game is in Beta, but can the maps be bigger? Please? The mobs always get rushed at way too quickly because the maps are so small
#10: TNT Run
It's TNT run. or should I say, Trinitrotoluene Run? :DDD
Pros
-Maps are small enough to where the games won't last too long
Cons
-Blocks getting removed from under the player is quite laggy
#9: Draw & Guess
I have never seen this on any other minigame server
Pros
-The drawing options aren't boring
-A variety of colors/colours to choose from
Cons
-The brush is laggy; it's very hard to draw connected lines
#8: Bow Spleef
Nothing much to say about this minigame
Pros
-Nice way to implement spleef into the server
-A simple concept that can turn into very intense matches
Cons
-The way the TNT disappears is so awkward, it's hard to directly spleef people by breaking the blocks under them
#7: The Best Builder and Team Build Battles
eeeeeee I suck at building things(oh well it's still a fun minigame)
Pros
-Creative things to build
-Basically impossible to hack in this minigame
Cons
-Lots of people build inappropriate builds (I know there isn't much BrokenLens can do about this except banning the player)
-The physics of liquids is messed up
#6: Tag Hunters
Not gonna lie, when I first heard the name, I thought it was like capture the flag.
Pros
-Everyone is given the same items, so PVP is fair
-This makes PVP fun, because in most PVP games if you get trashy loot, you will probably die
-Arenas are big enough to where you can flee a battle
Cons
-Gets monotonous after a while
#5 and #4 are tied
#5/4: Quake Craft and Team Quake Craft
A nice multiplayer shooter in Minecraft. I remember a bunch of the guns being way to broken and overpowered a few years ago, but they've been balanced out now.
Pros
-BFG10K and Rocket Launcher got nerfed (They were way too overpowered a few years ago)
-Matches can get chaotic and fun, even with just 2 other people
-The effects the guns give ake it easier to tell where you're shooting
-The starting machine gun got a noticeable damage buff from a few years ago when it did like no damage
Cons
-The Railgun still sucks
-How tf do you use the Mjolnir? Every time I've tried to use it, it did like no damage at all. Can someone please explain to me how it works?
#5/4: Hide & Seek
AKA Block Hunt
Pros
-A good number of blocks to choose from
-Maps are big and creative
-Maps are small enough to where the seekers actually have a chance at winning
Cons
-Sometimes the blocks options do not match with the map at all
-One map in particular (Magical cave or something) Has the worst block options ever, as none of the blocks can fit in
#3: Murder Mystery
Probably a lot of people's favorite minigame
Pros
-A wide selection of maps
-Maps are medium-sized so the murderer has a chance at winning
-The murderer can actually throw their knife now :D
-Sheriff gun now shows cooldown
-Lights out murderer ability
-Sometimes there are 2 murderers
Cons
-Gold gets spawned in too quickly (but again, that's just my opinion)
-It's hard to aim the sheriff gun
-The murderer and sheriff can't talk
-Now you can see the player name of who's talking (unlike a few years ago)
-This makes it so that it's much easier to find out who's not the murderer
-You can't see how much longer until lights out ends for the murderer
-Half of the maps suck for the murderer
#2: Block Party
Well, it's a killer party.
Pros
-First rounds are nice and slow-paced
-Around round 10 and up, you can predict what color/colour will be chosen
-Gets super hectic after round 15
-Not too monotonous
-Nice maps (especially the BT21 map :D
Cons
-This minigame probably has the most hackers by far
-Gets near impossible after round 17
#1: Splatter
Congratulations on probably the most underrated game on BrokenLens for getting to #1!
Pros
-Maps are very similar to the Splatoon maps
-The weapons are nice and balanced
-Ink battles are fair
-Gets engaging to play
Cons
-Maybe more weapons and maybe even kits (like a splat roller or sniper?)
-Charging up ink takes too long
Alright! That's it for the Pros and cons. Now here are some suggestions:
Mobwars: Change it to bedwars or cake wars
Splatter: Add kits and more weapons
Minigames where you can break blocks: Make the block breaking not laggy
New minigame suggestions (* marks how much I want the minigame to be added. the more * a game has the more I want it to be in BrokenLens)
*Turf Wars: Bows 1 shot kill and add turf to your team's land, claim all of the turfs to win!
*Death Run: 1-2 people are picked as deaths. Runners try to make it to the end, but the death(s) can activate traps to kill the runners. Runners can have multiple lives, and if they lose all of their lives, they DIE FOREVER HAHAHA
***Missle Wars: Use slime block missiles to break the portal on the enemy's side! You always have a flame and unbreaking bow, and every few seconds you'll get either a missile, 3 arrows, a fireball, or a snowball that deploys a barrier to stop. I have some missile designs that I can put in a thread if the staff is interested in creating missile wars.
*The Bridge: A 1 block thin bridge connects 2 islands. Score 5 points in the enemy's goal to win! (Reference [Removed] the bridge)
**Simon Says: Follow the commands to gain points! Usually a total of 15 rounds, with a 16th round being a boss round, worth more than 1 point.
I hope that this gives some ideas to build upon! I'm not forcing these upon the staff, although I would be happy if 1 thing gets added (like missile wars :D (there are no good missile wars minigames for pocket edition and I can't upload stuff to MCPEDL))
