They get 7-10TNT and leather chestplate and helmet.

I get your point however even though a tnt can be op by killing a player with a single piece can be an absolute pain to play because you get no starting food, no armor (duh) and you have to be careful where you place it because sometimes the tnt itself will glitch and you will most likely probably die, so it's kinda balanced because you can kill yourself with the tnt sooooooooooo yeh
