Server lag made everything else slower after

idk if this is only happening to me but let me explain

I can watch youtube videos with 1080p quality with no problem, load websites fast, but when I play on brokenlens, I lag. And after am done playing, I go on youtube and I cant watch 1080p, 760, and 480 quality videos anymore.

It's like the lag on the server made everything else slow. I kept close attention and it happened like 3 times or 2 times I think.

Is it my device? Is it my wifi? Does it have to do with anything with where I live? I live in a territory not a country, a small island, that many people dont know. Does this happen to you guys?
 
Yes the server is lagging for me recently too. My ping is the same as before around 170ms which is average so I won’t lag. But now when I pvp, ppl will freeze every 5 sec and even I speed bridge, the blocks may disappear. and when I mine, there are like 1 sec delay for the block to break

I have something similar, when I join BrokenLens, it doesn’t lag at first, but after about 20-40 minutes my ping starts to rise over 200, not sure why, I have Ethernet connection, on a high spec PC. For me seems to either be an issue with Minecraft or The server itself because on other servers this issue does not occur.

Possibly where you live?
If I'm correct, the server has only established two network locations: USA and Canada
If a player doesn't live or their wifi location is not in either USA or Canada, it will be automatically connected to one or the other. Well, I live in the USA so I have no problem and my ping is normally 50-80 xD
But yeah, when the network is connected to USA or Canada but the real wifi's location isn't in either, then the player will experience high ping, hence this is what happens a lot with my friends who don't live in USA or Canada.
Otherwise, it may have to do with your device, your wifi's stability, or something else.

Also, the wifi location can glitch sometimes
I experience lag when my ping tells me I'm connected to Canada instead of USA, which is where I need to be connected or else I will lag to death xD
