Writing and editing were a hell of a mess but I hope you enjoy the story? Hope you have an hour or two of free time because this story is pretty long
I present: The Thanksgiving Bloodshed: Season 3, The Final Season
Chapter 1- Where Do We Go?
Not so long ago, a group of brave heroes tended to save the world by ending the true secret behind the history of the war. Unfortunately for them, the war ended by one brave hero surviving all the nuclear chemicals, gunshots and everything that comes close to ending your life in a flash of a light. With no light from the sky, the young hero knew that the war wasn't officially over.
The sky particular seemed almost like it was telling her something, something that could parenterally save the world... once more.
As Meagen slowly lifted herself up from the broken glass surrounding her, dusting off the gunpowder covering half of her blonde hair that completely looks like a different hairstyle, she takes a look around, gasping to see everyone dead. Meagan rushed to one of her friends that mysterious has two slightly sharp broken glass shaped into both of her eyes, looking like someone did this on purpose before any bombs were hit from the moon.
"Oh no." Meagan's words drifted into the air, drops of tears dropped onto her shoulder, wiping off some dust she had on her.
"It's going to be okay." Meagan's hands gently laid below her cheeks, slowly patting them in a circle shape.
"I gotta go. I promise you that this will all be okay." Meagan taking her hand away lightly from her cheeks, leaving her under a pile of pebbles with a small river of blood dripping from her eyes.
The journey that awaited her wasn't like she thought it would be when she played pretend when she was little.
"I don't think I could do this, I really don't" Meagan takes a long look of her hands covered in dust and blood. One of her eyes was coated in earwax which was harshly disgusting but she couldn't do anything as it might cause a toxic reaction to the rest of her body.
Meagan stared up ahead to see a gust of wind blowing dust along with a yellow sky surrounding everything around her. The building each had foggy broken windows, looking like it could collapse at any moment from now. The road looked like some maniac got a hold of a hammer that somehow could break roads. All the flashbacks coming into Meagan's mind, it had to mean something to her, or that's what she thought.
A couple of yards away, she spotted a small hill made of big flat rocks that were easy to climb. Rushing up the steps and stepping foot on the top rock like a queen, she felt something. Like a spirit talking to her as light like a spotlight surrounded her, almost like God was hearing her. Meagan didn't hear anything but once her eyes locked shut, she could hear something, well, not literally but like a message being sent into her head somehow.
Meagan felt like she was flying into the air, feeling like she had superpowers. Once the message was fully sent, her eyes opened up without her doing anything.
"That's it!" She shouted out loud like she had a group of teammates.
Meagan quickly glancing towards the broken road that had a path loads of burning cars from inside, she knew exactly where she had to go.
"I knew this wasn't the only war the world was fighting against. Then again, I never knew there were more people out there fighting for the same reason." Meagan kept on gasping on what the message told her to do and what information was given.
Meagan was excited to save the world once again but she also remembered something else that she was told.
"Oh shoot." She stopped running to the path she was told to go. Meagan also remembered that there will be other people stronger than the group of teammates she worked with. At first, she didn't believe so but if one of the goddesses told her personally, she must be right. Afterward, that got her thinking, what happens if they kill her instantly as they might think of me of a present from the enemy's team just to spy on them?
All these ideas came back into her head, rethinking her decision. Meagan took a small rock from a dead person that was laying his head on, pulled her dress up and sat down gently as she took a look at a map she mysterious found once she was done talking to the Gods.
"3,000 miles? That's crazy!" She takes a big sigh, glancing up above her to see a yellow-ish sky filled with dust.
"But then again, I have nobody else left on here to save, nothing else to feed on. Nobody." Meagan takes a stand from her spot, takes a quick look at the map and then, the road she was supposed to take.
Meagan starts to take small steps forward into the road but stops a few yards from the buildings surrounding the road.
She takes a look at the dead bodies, either crushed by rocks or a part of them completely cut from them that made them bleed to death. Her heart started to beat faster, indicating that even her heart couldn't decide what to do. Risking her life to save another world or die here from hunger, saving nothing.
"I'm Meagan, Meagan Slarway. My mother didn't raise a failure that was going to give up on the world. And even after God spoke to me, was I really to ignore them? Oh hell no I won't." Meagan finally took out a black mask from her purse, fitting perfectly well onto her face.
"I'm Meagan Slarwar and I'll be the one saving the world." Wrapping the mask around her face, Meagan slowly walked the pathways she was told to walk on.
BAM, the building collapsed behind her, completely blocking the way back to her dead people.
"Well, no choice now, huh?" She took a hard stare to the buildings' that collapsed into each other. She found it weird that they collapse right when she entered the pathway.
"I swear some idiot is playing jokes on me." Meagan finally reveals the final thing she had on her, a silver metal made machete.
"I'm not afraid." She shotted out, holding the machete with both of her hands.
After a couple of minutes, nobody came out, as she expected it to be.
"That's what I thought." She slid the machete into her back, making a satisfying sound once put back.
"My favorite part of it."
Meagan continued to follow the path intently with cars filled with fire and who knows, fresh gas in some of them. She spotted some rats along the way, smelling like a pit of cow poop in the road.
"Ya know, maybe I should've been killed during the war cause God, why me? Why me saving the world?" She gazes around and only detects rats eating what appears to be some parts of a human flesh.
"Okay then." She walked at a slow pace this time, closely looking around her, making her nothing dangerous lookin' will kill her.
It appeared that she was outside a factory by the looks of the big windows barely showing her reflection from all the dust covering them.
"Whatever." In the long run, her legs felt like a robot being ordered to do all the shipping in a company called Amazon. I mean c'mon, a human legs can't be compared to a robot as most of them don't have feelings. Meagan felt so helplessly that from a flash in her eyes, her body shut down, dropping her onto the ground as she banged her head onto a small rock.
Meagan woke up minutes later, being trapped in a dust storm. She quickly reacted by hiding herself in a dumpster that was magically standing in front of her.
"Shi-" As she was about to scream, a herd of rats came rushing onto her, complete covering her body. Even she couldn't scream with all the rats' small tails covering her mouth and nose.
"MmmmH-mm" Screaming and screaming, she felt tired from doing so that she fell asleep once again.
This time, she didn't know how long she was asleep as time somehow stopped since her watch stopped working unexpectedly. The rats were all gone from the dumpster which meant that she was free to go from the storm.
With the might she still had inside of her, Meagan lifted open the lid and was surprised by the mess the storm made. The good news from all this is that the storm wiped out all the fire that was lit inside all the cars.
"Someone is really playing some type of sick joke with me" But within Meagan, it didn't feel like someone was playing around with her. She spotted all her friends in that awful pit and sure enough, she counted every single person she knew that fought against her side.
"I will find them." Meagan still feeling considered that she was being played.
Meagan didn't bother to look back but just head forward to what seemed like a ship from a distance.
"Oh shoot! A boat! Fantastic! My, I really thought I was going to find a way to get across the ocean." As the map Meagan got, she recently found out she was in this country called the "United States?" She had no idea what that means but if she had to go to this other state called "The Netherlands," across the ocean then yea, she will do anything to save the world from the innocents' souls that were on risk.
Meagan got all jumpy and started to make her way into the gigantic ship that looked like a pirate's ship. She was expecting a "fancy" ship with strong iron surrounding it but this was fabulous enough. Meagan was ready to sail this ship off the coast since she took engineering class back in Middle School.
"This is going to be the best memories I will tell my children if I make it alive from here." Meagan was ready to sail off the coast until she noticed something moving in the barrels.
"I knew it." With the flexible hands she had from karate class, she took out her machete like a ninja ready to fight. She started to take some small steps into the barrel that was unanimously moving; Meagan looking some anime girl that is incredibly talented in those manga books.
Before even taking out the barrel, the lid popped open like a soda cap and came out a bunch of rats.
"WHAT THE-" But shocking enough, a mouse stood up and said, "Shh, we're friendly."
But that instantly sent Meagan into a faint, poof.
