So I’m doing a school project about gun regulations and restrictions.

I have 10 opinionated questions I hope you guys will answer for me (thank you if you do, it helps) and this will have an impact on what side I take when writing my paper with flyers.

1: What do you think would happen to the crime rate if guns were illegal?

2: How would you feel if guns were illegal?

3: How do you picture a future without guns?

4: Do you believe there should be restrictions on guns? (Explain)

5: Do you believe it’s too easy to obtain a gun? (Explain)

6: Would it be an issue if guns were illegal? (Explain)

7: Do you believe the future will be better without guns? (Explain)

8: What kind of restrictions would you want in guns, if any? (Explain)

9: Do you believe if the requirements for obtaining a gun permit were to change, that it would affect the amount of people why buy guns? (Explain)

10: Would you approve or disapprove of stricter gun control? (Explain)

Thank you again if you help out

Most everyone is probably going to disagree with me but here goes.
1. I honestly don't believe the crime rate would change that much. I think that the majority of crimes are committed by people with illegally obtained weapons.
2. It wouldn't make much of a difference for me as I live in a fairly crime-free area.
3. I picture it being pretty much the same as it is now because once again I think people who commit crimes are going to find a way around stricter gun laws.
4. Yes there should be restrictions on guns. Why do people who aren't military or police need automatic weapons of silencers?
5. Yes I believe in some states (I'm in U.S) it is too easy to obtain guns. In my state they are fairly strict (full background check,etc.). I imagine it's fairly easy for criminals to get guns illegally too.
6. Yes, I believe there will be issues if guns are made illegal. I believe good, law-abiding citizens should be able to obtain guns for protection and/or hunting (although hunting=unnecessary to me).
7. I do not think the future will be any better without guns. I think people looking to commit crimes will still find ways to commit the crimes wether guns are illegal or not.
8. The only restrictions I could see them adding to gun control laws would be to do a full family background check. Require people to lock their guns up. I already agree with automatic weapons and silencers being illegal.
9. I think people who want guns legally are going to go through all the steps to get a gun legally.
10. I would approve of stricter gun control laws in that it may prevent school shootings and domestic violence but beyond that i don't think it will make that huge of a difference.
I believe in you Icy.

People have to remeber that in places like Austrailia where they banned guns, not much changed adn more mass killings were done with kitchen knives and vehicles so what are you really goign to do. In my opinion we need to defeat Isis becuase they are responsible for over 90% of mass shootings/terror attacks. Also over 70% of gun violence is gang violence where on the street they get into fights and bystanders and gang memebers are both injured/killed. We need to have better background checks but really we cant get rid of guns. Also 1 in 200 times someone is killed by a gun, its by the person defending themselves than the person attacking. Thats where the saying "The good guy with a gun" was originated from. Think of a senario where you are sleeping in your house alone and at 4 am someone comes into your house with a gun. you grab your 9mm pistol and hide in your closet. If they enter the closet you can easily point the gun at them adn they will more times than not do what you say because if they dont and they try to attack you then you can legally shoot them. Or hwo about this other senario where the contry goes to another civil war. Whaat do you think you are going to do against a tank or some s♥♥♥...

1) It depends if you mean every type of crime in general, or just crimes that involve guns.
I'm assuming the second one.
I think that people would more than likely achieve guns in other ways(duh), but I think that there'd be a decrease in some crimes that involve someone firing a gun, because they aren't as available(of course). I think that it might stay around the same rate though, because people who would want to commit a crime that might involve shooting someone, might not be as intimated by them as much as if the victim were to be armed. Self defense is a must, and a pepper spray can isn't going to help you in some cases.
2) Upset. It's our second amendment. If anything, just have more control over the distribution of guns. Some people just shouldn't have guns, that doesn't mean we have to take it away from everyone else.
3) A crisis. There'd be plenty of protesters everywhere and I think it would cause more chaos.
4) Yes, people don't need to be walking around with a firearm used in the military strapped to their belt.
5) Yes. All you need to do is go to a store and sometimes walk out with a gun within minutes. That should change.
6) Yes. If you get stabbed a pepper spray can isn't going to help very much with that situation. There's also people with gun collections that they worked hard for, and I'd think they'd be pretty upset if all of it were to go away.
7)No. I don't like the idra of the government having that much power of taking away rights.
8)Further background checks, maybe close relatives or friend's honest opinion on whether or not they should own a gun. People you are close to know you the best, past situations don't define you.
9) Hopefully not. That would mean that some previous people who have bought guns wouldn't meet the requirements, because they would stop buying guns (maybe).
10)Approve, as long as it's reasonable and it doesn't completely take guns away.

I'm going to give out my personal opinion on this so no one quotes me on this.

1.
Well, it would kinda depend on the people that get their hands on the guns but in general, at that time, the world would've just collapsed into pieces.
Let's take an innocent person that knows how to use the gun when needed. That kind of person wouldn't go around and start killing people randomly even if it was illegal. This might not be for all cases but even within killing someone, it would be committing a sin, (if anyone even believes in those anymore.) Now let's take a dangerous criminal that kills people constantly. When they hear about that killing people with a gun was illegal, that's like a Christmas gift for them. They can no longer get arrest for killing someone and gunpoint cause it's illegal.
So in my personal opinion, the world would go mad in seconds.

2. Pretty much freaked out; knowing that guns are illegal and anyone can get of hold of a gun in their proper hands. I mean, if they were for everyone at that point, they'll have to raise the prices for the guns like a firework but as I said, anyone rich in the world can get of hold of a gun in seconds.

3. A pretty decent but also a bad thing. Decent because now nobody would be able to hunt animals down with the guns they have or threaten someone at gunpoint to give them their money as they point a gun towards their head. But also a bad thing cause military people need those guns in order to fight in a war or whatever they do with the guns they have.

4. I think they should have restrictions on guns. I mean face it, anyone that's below the age of 18 (depending on where you live that is,) they might say, "Oh, can you please buy a gun for me since you're 18? And guess what they do? They buy the gun for them since they're above the age of 18. So I think only people that NEED it should have a gun in their hands and even on that point, they need to know how to maintain a gun.

5. YES! I have some strong feelings agents this question. Many people in the world can trick people at the store into buying a gun for their kinds and such. Ya, sure that they will ask you for your ID and such but even with that, many people above 18 already have an ID so that isn't a problem for them.
I mean heck, (I'm not trying to spread this sad event that happens,) but how do you think a kid at a Florida Highschool got a gun on his hands? Have any ideas? Well, I'll give you a hint, their parents. I'm not saying that the parents have any fault towards the kids but they also do for having a gun where the kid can see it in his sight. So yes, I think it's way to easy for people to maintain a gun to easily.

6. As I said in question 2, it would be kind of an issue depending on which person kids their hands on the gun. It can also depend on where you live such of drug dealers and such.

7. Well, if you're talking about the military not having guns than definitely no. Cause for an obvious reason, they need guns in their military to either practice in the war that's coming up or war in general. Now if you're talking about normal people getting a gun in their hands, then I think it would be a nice place if the world didn't have guns. Face it, 80% of people only want a gun in their hands is to either kill an animal or a human just to see them suffer for the enjoyment.

8. I would say in my personal cause that only military people should have guns cause they need those guns for a good reason. People that just want a gun to kill people, well good luck trying to get a gun in your hands.

9. As I said in question 6, it would sadly have a big impact on people that don't need it. Then, later on, people will start to protest to the government that they should make guns obtainable to buy once again which in that case, would be a sad life.

10. I would approve the change of law of guns cause most people just use it to kill innocents soles these days. I mean cmon, this year, there were like what? At least 10 schools shooting around the mid-season of summer? Ya, that's a lot. So basically, even kids that are at the age of 16 can get of hold of a gun just like that.

1. I personally think crime rate would stay the same (depending on where you live). People and criminals will find another weapon to use in criminal ways.
2. I’m kinda neutral with my answer. If guns were illegal, I would be okay with it, but if they weren’t, (right now) I would still be find. But if they were, how would homeowners defend themselves? Kinda throwing this answer around.
3. I picture people desperate to get a gun if they “needed” one. It would probably be like drugs. Someone smuggles firearms, and they sell them on the streets.
4. Personally, no. I see guns as a form of self-defense against criminals. But they can be used anyway under the control of the owner, so I believe there shouldn’t be a restriction on guns.
5. Yes, very much. Some kid can just buy one with: 1.) A fake ID. 2.) Some adult sells them on the streets. 3.) They go online and purchase one.
6. Depends on your point of view of the question. Some will say yes, some will say no. But personally, I say no. So many people are against guns right now, and if they became illegal, people that are now anti-guns will now be happy.
7. Yes. If the future would have guns, people could potentially create a more powerful gun that could have more abilities than the regular firearm.
8. I feel guns should only be used for self-defense purposes only. Because crimes are way, WAY, too high right now, and if that law were to be in effect, crime rates may decrease significantly.
9. Yes. Age would be a gargantuan factor in that situation, and many people (as I stated earlier) have used fake ID’s to obtain firearms. And they should expire, so people have to get a new one.
10. Approve. Stricter gun control limits the amount of power you have with a gun, meaning you are set a specific amount of rules that you have with the gun.

Hope this helps! ^^

What is this, a survey? xd
1:
If guns were illegal crime rate would drop since shootings are popular in most media. However, this wont stop crimes since people can find alternates for doing the job quick, such as throwable explosives or any melee weapon. Melee weapons aren't too useful, but crime can happen. I don't expect it to drop significantly though.

2:
I wouldn't feel that bad of guns were illegal as long as those who need it like the police or military have it.

3:
A future without guns is like a modern medieval era to me. Wars are fought with knifes, throwables, swords, and more.

The rest of the questions are ones I don't feel like answering because they require an explanation and I don't have time for one.

1: What do you think would happen to the crime rate if guns were illegal?
I bet the crime rates will drop a fair bit if guns were made illegal because some raids do include guns. However, the crime rate won't drop greatly since people can use other weapons, like knives.

2: How would you feel if guns were illegal?
Relieved and more safe, because people won't snipe or shoot you from faraway if guns were illegal. Even if those people use knives instead of guns, I would still feel safer since I'm aware of people who are close to me and can easily predict and think up of a solution faster if someone does try to attack me with a knife. You can't really predict if someone is going to shoot you, which makes me feel more uncomfortable.

3: How do you picture a future without guns?
If there weren't guns, I'd predict that the crime rates will be lower by a bit. However, without guns some people that are bodyguards or part of the army will struggle; for example, do you think bodyguards that are protecting the president from assassination will be more successful? Do you also think the military will stand a chance in war if guns weren't allowed?

4: Do you believe there should be restrictions on guns? (Explain)
I think there should be a restriction on guns to people who want one. Guns are required from people like the military and other professions, and other people don't have a good purpose for them and don't require them.

5: Do you believe it’s too easy to obtain a gun? (Explain)
I believe it is too easy to obtain a gun. Think about the shootings in America this year; 178 days into 2018 and there have already been around 154 school shootings. And the amount of violence that involved guns in America this year: 48,959. Isn't that enough to convince the president to change the gun laws? For goodness sakes you f***ing orange, at least make some restrictions on them.

6: Would it be an issue if guns were illegal? (Explain)
To some people who are involved in protecting the country, then yes, but some normal citizens would make an issue out of it if guns were made illegal.

7: Do you believe the future will be better without guns? (Explain)
Heck yeah, there'll be less deaths and violence that involves guns if they didn't sell them to psychopaths.

8: What kind of restrictions would you want in guns, if any? (Explain)
I'd like normal citizens to be restricted from guns, and only people who are part in protecting the country or president to own one.

9: Do you believe if the requirements for obtaining a gun permit were to change, that it would affect the amount of people why buy guns? (Explain)
Yes. I don't know what the requirements are, but surely they are pretty poor. There'll be less violence and people harming others with guns.

10: Would you approve or disapprove of stricter gun control? (Explain)
I'd approve, since the gun-related deaths that occurred this year are over the top, and like the other answers above, there'll be less casualties and deaths.
