/Chapter 23/

October 23, 1920

I was shocked in rot that we were apparently stuck in the plains of Antarctica, The coldest place to ever be in in the entire world. I looked at Marco and I gotta say, we weren’t looking in any good shape at all nor was the plane that crashed. Fortunately for us, the plane wasn’t on fire so with our luck, if we can find someone here that can fix us our plane back together, we will be good as gold.

I started to think that the farther we go from each week, the harder the place we land on wherever the Halloween killer wants us to go. Somehow to my surprise, I wasn’t killed yet but I knew by the time it hit November, all of us would’ve been killed by then. I didn’t really think about it that much since I always wanted to feel what death was but that was on me.

“Burr,” Said a few people from the back of me. I wanted to give them a nice, cozy coat but sadly enough, we didn’t carry cozy coats on the plane before we left the ghost town. “Icy!” Marco yelled from beside me. I turned my head around to see Maroc with a screwdriver on his hands. “Umm Marco, what are you doing?” I asked him as I went towards him.

Apparently, he was trying to fix up the plane all by hand but that wasn’t the thing that concerned me the most. The thing the concerned me the most is that he can’t fix up a plane at all. Heck, he can’t even fly a plane! Sorry, but I had no hope in him on this one.

“What is it?” I respond to his question. Marco got out with his face all covered in oil as he said, “Hand me the wrench please.” I tsked at him, telling him that he can’t fix up a plane as I handed him the wrench. “Thanks, mate,” He said as he took the wrench from my hands. I rolled my eyes at him as I went towards the other to see some real news that is if they had any.

As I expected, nothing was new besides the fact that we were stuck in one of the coldest places on earth. “Burr,” I said to myself am I covered myself up with the coat my mom gave me for my birthday. Surprisingly enough, this coat was still in good shape even though what it has been thought cough trash can cough.”

I was so bored that I really didn’t have anything else to do besides sit around, get turned into a popsicle and die in this freezing cold place that it is. But before I did, I’d one little question about this place that was probably answered already back in my college but I fell asleep during that class is, “How come it’s never cold here in the summer?”

Now I could be wrong here. It could get cold here over the summer, maybe not. But the answer was out there. I just can’t put my finger on it. As I headed towards what looked like an iceberg up ahead in the coldest water out here, I heard Marco giving out the biggest sigh I could possibly hear him do in his entire life. I rushed over to see if he was ok or not. “Marco!” I screamed in terror. “Are you okie?”

Once he pulled out of fixing the plane which by the way looked no different at all, I saw his hand burning in red heat. “Omg Marco! Your hands!” I said as I covered my mouth with my mittens I’d put on. “I can’t do this! It burns my hands!” Marco cried. I felt utterly terrible that he had to go through this. I knew I couldn’t fix up a plane but Marco tried at least unlike me. So I shouldn't be talking trash about him since he tried and I didn’t.

“Please Icy, Lift me up! I can’t get myself up without touching the ice with my burning hands that were freezing!” I could tell that he needed serious help and not just a cooldown for his hands. I pulled him up from the ice as I said straight to him, “Promise me that you’ll never fix up a broken plane without wearing mittens, understand?” Marco looked like he was going to explode from the terror I just said to him.

“Yes yes, I promised!” He cried to me. “But please find someone that can help me with these burning hands! I beg you!” He begged to me. By the look of his freezing hands, it looked like he needed serious help. So that was the only reason why I'll be willing to help him in this adventure we had to face.

He started to walk with the other as I did the same, following him to god knows where we were heading to. “Anyone have an idea on where in the world we were heading?” Jay asked the crowd. Everyone stopped for a second and in those seconds, all I could hear were people saying, “hmm or well” things like that.

“Psst Jay!” I waved to him from the crowd as the snow breeze started to pick up. Lucky as the snow started to blow, Jay heard me and headed in my way to see what I had to say. “Yo yo Icy! What’s up?” He said to me like he was part of a gang. “Hey, Jay. I was wondering if you know where we were heading? After all, you led us in Season 2 towards our new home!” I explained to him.

He stopped and thought for a second as he grabbed his pen he had in his ear and tapped it on his chin as he thought about the question I asked him. I gave Jay a few seconds to think as I tapped to him to hurry up and headed towards the crowd that was a few feet away from where we were standing from.

Jay and I rushed towards the crowd as Jay said holding his pen into the air like he has found a new idea for this business, “I don't know but my protection is that we were going to find a signal tower to get help from.” He said to me.

Now I gotta admit, that was actually a pretty good idea of his. So I took that as his responses and started to talk with the rest of the crowd that was yards away from us. “Jay hurry up!” I said to him as I started to run towards the rest of the crowd. As I rushed towards the crowd, I could see the plane disappear from my sight as I got farther from it. “We’ll be back girl,” I said to it as I caught up.

“Ugh, I’m hungry!” Limber complained to Joe. “Look Limber, You’re not the only one that is starving like heck out here you know,” Joe said to me with an attitude. I didn’t like how she was speaking to me so I took her words and continued to complain about how hungry I was; wanting a pizza from the pizza shop.

I pulled on my coat over my chest as I still felt the cold going through my skin even though I was covered in fur in my coat. With the breeze cold that was apparently picking up, It got harder from the second to walk in this heavy snow that was below me. I went towards the crowd as someone started to pull on me, making my weight even heavier.

I looked behind me to see Joe pulling on me. “Oh, Heh-hey Joe!” I said in shivers. I hate but I gotta tell you, HATE the cold even though we were in the closest state in the whole world, I hated the cold. I was never a big fangirl of the snow, nor was it was a fan of me cause it gave me a cold somehow.

“Can you hug me again please?” Joe asked me with those puppy eyes. I really didn’t want to give her a hug cause I already had enough weight on me plus with the storm going on, that making it, even more, harder for me to cross with this snow. Also with Joe on me, that will make it triple the weight I’ll have to be dealing with on my back.

“Ermm… Sure I guess?” I said to Joe, giving her those not wanted to do so faces. So jumped into my coat and snuggled up as I rolled my eyes at her as I continued to walk to wherever we were heading.

I kept walking until I heard someone shout out my name out of nowhere. It was Jay to my surprised. “Pss Icy!” He waved at me. Now, this being said, I still had Joe on me so that extra weight was going to benefit me from walking where I was standing towards Jay spot. It took me about a few minutes but I finally got there. “What is it, Jay?” I said to him.

“You won’t believe what I found!” He said in excitement. “What is it!” I said to him. He leadeth me towards what he has found, also leading the rest of the pack towards it. “Take a look!” I looked over to see what he wanted to show me.

It was an entire lake with icebergs everywhere! Following by the closest water in the entire world. “One step into that water and you’re a goner.” I had no words for that.

As I headed closer to it, I spotted a signal tower across it. “Look!” I said towards the crowd. Everyone came closer to see where I was pointing. “It’s a signal tower! We can get help over there!” Jay said.

Somewhat, everyone started cheering but I interrupted, saying that how will we get across the lake? Suddenly, everyone stopped cheering. “Well then,” I said in shame.

I notice that Firefox was getting to close to the lake. As I went towards her to say to come near us, a dark shadow came along and pushed her right into the lake.

Everyone gasped as the dark cloud laughed in evil. I gave it an angry face, knowing exactly who it was. Just as I finished giving the Halloween killer my bad thoughts, Firefox came out… in an ice cube.

I knew from that point… she was a goner. She had a long life to live for, now all gone.
Oh, how I loved her like a sister.
