Chapter 18 - Mystical

December 18, 2018

Before I even realized, it was already the next new day of the week. I noticed that we had less than a week before Christmas comes which doesn't have any effect on me but I think it's like a reminder that I should be home with the...oh wait, never mind. "Here, I think you might want to see what the notes say."

I reached out for the note that Megan was giving me with her sweaty palms. Who knew that even ghost sweat when they're traveling around. "But I'm scared to see what that rotten Santa Claus has written for me." I clammed.

She rolled her eyes towards me. "Kiwi, just open the note for the love of God." I tried my best to stall her for me to not open the note that I was currently holding right now. "Hmm, but what happens if I don't want to open the note?"

I could see that she didn't like my response back cause she started to make weird faces towards me. "Okay okay fine, I'll open it if you instance me too." I opened up the white note and read out loud, "Well, guess you found out about your family and stuff? Well, I can tell you right now, things aren't going to be easy from now on. And oh ya, watch out for Christmas Day cause that's the day I'm coming for you."

I shut the note tight, throwing it into the fire that was going on in the bathroom.

"What did the note say?" Megan already asking me after I closed the note. "None of your business!" I responded back to her. "Well jeez, don't have to be that rude about it." Her eyes dazed beyond my black eyes, giving me that sharp look that she gives everyone. "Well, I gotta get going back to my farm.

My parents are probably worried sick about where I have been all day. But nice meeting you around. Too bad you're going back to your homeland on Saturday but remember, I still have that stocking machine!" I rolled my eyes in a friendly way to her.

"Good night!" I yelled towards her. She looked at me before she disappeared into the dark dust. "Night!" She yelled back at me before disappearing into the dust. "Great. I'm back to square one on being lonely." I sat on the hill for a few seconds, looking straight at the moon as the sun was nowhere to be seen in sight.

"Well." I looked at the sky like it was going to give me good luck. "Today was my 3 day here on this planet I don't know even know about. I need help please god! Amen." I laid on the ground with the grass giving me a tick on the cheeks. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep with the owl's owling around me.

* * * * *
The next day, I work up with the smell of fresh bread near the food market that they were having downhill from me. "Get your fresh bread here one for 3 dollars! One for 3 dollars!" is what I heard from a man yelling towards the costumes that were there. I thought, "hey, why not go down there and see if I could convince the men to give me a free loaf of bread." I knew that this plan was a low chance of passing but why not? Besides, the men looked like he was a nice guy to talk to. So this giving my chances a higher percentage.

"Hello!" I smiled at the men that were running the bread shop. "Why hello there young lady! You don't look like you're from around here." Seeing how this guy already knew that I didn't belong here, it gave my guts feeling a lower chance for this guy to give me some fresh bread. "Um no, sir. I'm not from around here."

I can't read minds or anything but I think this guy was thinking that I was a joke to him. "Well in that case." He ducked down in his small shop and came out with a loaf of bread that spread longer that my real-life hand. "Woah, big bread you have there."

"Only for the best." He winked at me. "It's yours." Mine? Woah. I was expected a small piece of the loaf but getting this type of bread was like winning a medal in the Olympics game. "Are you serious? Oh my god, thank you!"

Now, don't ask what I did here but I actually went over the sign that said, "No crossing. workers only," and gave him a giant hug. "Thank you!" I said as I kept hugging him. "Woah. Um, welcome!"

I noticed that a lot of people were coming closer to me so I think this was my role to stop hugging him. "My name's Kiwi!" I said to him. "Hello, Kiwi! My name's Marco!" We both shook hands like we were supposed to in the first place. "Well, as I said before, thank you so much for this loaf of bread that you gave me!

It would really help me with the food supplied!" "Happy to help!" I waved at him as other costumes started to come towards him. I headed for the top of the hill with my giant loaf of bread and started to eat it while I watched other new people coming to the food market.

Believe it or not, when I noticed that I was finished eating my load of bread, the food market was closing down for the day. I looked behind me to see the sun already going down for the evening. Wow, I know saving time was a thing but I didn't expect the sun to go down so early every single day.

I guess it was that time again for me to sleep on the hill until Thursday comes around in a few hours from now. "Another day, another night I suppose." I guess I Liked saying that to myself since nobody else will hear me saying so.

Once I started to get into my position of sleeping, I noticed a shiny thing coming from the cave that was a few meters from me. "What could that be." Saying it as I blocked the shining object that was going to my eyes with my hand.

I waited until the people that were packing up the food market to go away since one of them could spot me going somewhere and they might think I found something that they have been searching for years just to get rich. A few minutes past when the people in the food market were completely out of sight except for the people that lived here. Now was the chance I could strike.

But when I got up, my feet immediately fell down when I got up. I guess my feet has its own mind of them. I tried to get my feet to wake up but it wasn't doing much sadly. After a few tried, I got them to fully wake up and started to make my way into the cave.

Surprising as it sounded, when I got closer to the item, it was right inside the cave. "Holy s-" Almost making me drop the S word. "I ain't going in there." But then I thought to myself. If I don't go inside, then I might be missing something important that humans haven't discovered yet.

So my mind also had its own mind and convinced me to head inside the cave, complete regretting everything once I put my whole body inside.

I kept walking the cave until I reached a dead end. "Just a dead end?" I was really disappointed to see the results that this came out.

So, I started to make my way out the entries that I came in. But that when everything stopped around me. Someone body was laying on the ground once I got out. "Th-this wasn't here be-before." My words started to shiver once I recognized the fact that the body belonged to.

I looked at the dark blue sky with the moon shining at its brightest, telling myself, "We don't have much time."
