October 2, 1920
The night seemed like forever with a murderer out there but by the time Cord was done asking all 29 of us questions, the sun shined beyond our eyes. It was early morning outside with birds chirping from every tree in sight. The Town Hall smelled like an old house that hasn't been cleaned in years.
It took forever for Cord to ask all the questions while Dany and Jely were cleaning up the mess behind the background (aka the blood.) “So” Lord questioned as he rubbed his chin. “All of you were here at the night of the murder correct?”
Everyone shocked their heads towards the question. “Okie, so this is what we know.” Cord grabbed a notebook from his pocket and a pen that was covered in ink. He started to jot down some notes or clues that he knew so far. “Okie, this is what we know so far. One, The murder has to be one of us because it will be impossible to escape without being noticed.
Second, this murder knew Ben so he or she knew Ben while being the main target at the night of the murder. Lastly” Before he could’ve said another word, Mos jumped out of nowhere and yelled, “Maybe it was Icy?” Everyone gasped as they all turned to Icy direction. “It could be her!” Fire said.
“Maybe it is!” Aliwa added. “Look at the facts.” Ally said in a dramatic way. “Icy was the only one that was up on stage with Ben aka the DJ. She told him that she wanted him to put the music down but he denied it. And so, he continued the music and left Icy with no hope.” Ally explained.
Everyone in the room didn’t say a word. The room was quiet as a house that has been abandoned for many years. It was silent until Bear said something. “So in that case, I hate to break it to you guys but for now, Icy is our main suspect.” Bear stated.
I couldn’t believe that I, yes I was the main suspect out of all this. The day went on without anyone saying any word to Icy. Every time someone saw her, they will only look back to see the main suspect in the town. Dawn came around quickly as I expected. I decided to head for a path that had a big wooden sign that said, “Peaceful woods” with small, bolded letters typed. I said, “Why not. Besides, everyone thought I was a crazy killer in this stupid town.” I headed towards the path, not noticing that dawn was becoming night time by the second.
The path was peaceful as the sign said above. Nobody really was around the woods which was exactly what I needed less in my life. I came out of the peaceful woods around 10 PM when I heard a loud noise coming from the town, I guessed the stupid town that it was, was having another party.
I didn’t bother to go until a cloud came into mind. I remember that the note said, “This is the mistake you’ll not forget.” Many thoughts came into mind. “Was it because of the party?” “Or maybe it was because Halloween was near?” I walked towards my brick house with rose flowers surrounding it. As I was unlocking the door to my house, I spotted Wolfie going into the Town Hall.
I told myself, “She couldn’t have done that. God knows what will happen tonight.” I unlocked the wooden door to my house as I headed inside. My pet cat Fluff was all curled up in a ball and was sleeping like a pig. I patted him on the head as he licked my hands. I didn’t take off my shoes cause I knew the killer will stick again tonight so I’d to make some quick moves.
I rushed up toward my rusted stairs and straight towards my room. I looked outside my window and to my surprise, I saw the black shadow heading towards the roof of the Town Hall. I didn’t have much time so I had to grab some random stuff I saw in my sight before the Halloween killer kills someone again.
I looked outside the window to see the sun rising down for the day. The night sky turned dark at my very own sight. I felt like it was telling me something like, “Find the killer and proved them wrong!” Or “Retrieve what you lost and expose the killer!.” I knew time was ticking by the second as my heart began to pump up. I knew by the time I got there, the killer was already got his/her next target and guess who will be the one to blame? That’s right, ME!
I could tell the city's clock was going fast from the blink of my eyes so I grabbed my rainbow sword and by the way, yes, it’s real thank you very much. I couldn’t find my shield so I’d to leave the house faster than a cat getting chased by a dog. I raced like I was in a 50-mile run or imagine an anime girl rushing with her rainbow bow sword, something like that. I rushed towards the Town Hall until I heard gasping coming inside the party room. I knew I was too late.
I opened the door and just as expected, there was blood all over the floor with the victim dead. As I opened the door, everyone looked towards me. Me holding the rainbow sword was probably the dumbest thing I could’ve done cause from that point, everyone thought I was the killer and they had all the proof cause I’d it on my hand.
“Well guys, Guess we know who killed Bear,” Mos said. Bear was laying on the floor while everyone was looking straight towards me. That night, Nobody said a word. The police came at mid time, arresting me that night without me explaining anything. As the police took me in, I looked back towards my friends and they didn’t even look at me. They took the last turn on me and backed off as the police drove me off.
I couldn't bare of thinking my very own friends and some other people I don’t know point it all upon me that I was the killer when I wasn't even there. Well, it doesn't matter now, to be honest. What this stupid town does best and arrests innocent people like me for doing no such thing. Nevertheless, I was going down to what people call it, jail.
Back at the Town Hall…
Puffin was sweeping up the bloody mess that was left on the dance floor that apparently, also got destroyed from the blood that got into the batteries. “I can’t believe it.” Jay expressed himself as he went towards the other side of the room where the rest of the people were. “Hmm…” Mos said. “Maybe it wasn't Icy?” Mos explained. “Don’t be ridiculous!” Cord said back. “I mean, maybe it was someone else?” Mos said as he tried hard to point the evidence out of Icy but it was no use.
“Mos, Unless you have value evidence that she didn’t do it, Icy will be kept inside Jail until we find out what’s going down around here.” Cord said back. Mos shook his head towards him and left him alone.
The moon on the sky was a full moon. You could even hear wolves howling from afar distances. Hours past inside the Town Hall as everyone gathered around a giant round table. Everyone spoke their truth and what they saw from today’s night and the results were: Icy was innocent.
But unfortunately, Cord disagreed to everything and saying that all the evidence went towards her when she opened the door and was holding a rainbow sword in front of her. Others say that that doesn't mean anything and she could’ve just brought that to the party and didn’t even know what was going on until she opened the door.
The night was a nightmare as they tried to decide on either if Icy was innocent was not until Dany spotted a white note that looked exactly from yesterday's note. He picked it up from the concrete floor as read out loud. “I’ve seen that you guys found out my surprised, but don’t worry. There’s more where that came from! - The Halloween killer.”
Everyone looked at each other as they knew, they had the exact same idea going inside their heads. “If this note was already here,” Dany explained. “Then that means… It wasn't the killer.” Jely finished.
“But who was?” Cord remarked. “I don’t know but what we do know is that we have to go to the police station ASAP and return It back!” Jely said.
The night went on like that in a snap but they had something in their hands… A killer is what they had.
