Maybe this is a good idea, maybe it isn't. I think it would be, though (I guess that's obvious, or I wouldn't suggest it).
This mainly applies to Tag Hunters, in my experience. When the game isn't full, and I don't think I've ever played in a full one, the teams are very unbalanced. You could end up with a team of four, a team of three, and two teams of one each. It gives certain teams, and their players, a huge advantage, and puts others at a disadvantage. The teams of three or four can easily gang up on the teams of one or two, and its pretty clear who will win the match. It also seems to end up with players leaving the game because its just too unfair.
It doesn't seem so bad in other team games. Micro Battles and Splatter have always been even in my experience. I've never played Team Sky Wars, so I don't know if it's a problem there.
The solution: remove the team choice, and have players sorted into roughly even teams at the beginning of the game.

EDIT:
Since that apparently hasn't been clear, I will explain a bit more. I'll admit the phrasing of the title is misleading, but I thought that the actual post had the meaning clear.
I'm not suggesting to remove teams entirely. I enjoy the team games, but the unequal teams bother me and make the game unfair. I'm suggesting that players don't choose which team they're on, but that we get sorted into teams that are as even as possible without choosing them.
For example, right now, if nine people join a game and choose their teams, the teams might be:
Red: 4
Bue: 3
Green: 1
yellow: 1

If the players are sorted into their teams so that they're as even as possible, they would be:
Red: 3
Blue: 2
Green:2
Yellow: 2

It's not exactly even, because of the number of players, but it's closer.

Have to agree with this but there isn't a way to prevent it, as the number of players in the teams really depends on who joins. Plus, removing teams on some games would ruin it such as micro battles, SW, even TH

No, I'm not saying to remove teams entirely, if that's what you thought I meant. You know how before the game starts, you can choose which team you want to be on, by selecting a clay block? I'm saying to remove that choice, and sort the players into teams that are as even as possible.
So, if nine people join the game, you won't end up with teams of four, three, one, and one; you'll get teams of three, two, two, and two.

Ppl at teamskywars that are your teammates sometimes try to kill you
(Unless of course they were trying to shoot someone else but instead you go infront and get shot)
Because they don't know there's teams. So dumb! Amd also they do not notcie the 'Diamond Ore: Goves random diamond items' Thing at the bottom

No I really don't like this at all. I'm really sorry but having teams is what makes those games fun imo. I think there should be am option for solo or team modes though.
Again, apparently I didn't explain this properly. I'll edit the original thing to be clearer, but what I'm trying to say is that there are still teams, but you can't choose which team you're on; the game sorts the players so that the teams are as even as possible.

You guys may still disagree, but at least my meaning is clear now

Yeah, exactly. No team choosing, just getting sorted into them.
I agree this. But I don't think that no team choosing is a ways to prevent it. Ppl may not like to play because of team choosing had been removed. Sometimes whe u wanna play with ur friend on the same team but this may affect them.

Hm, I suppose that's true too. I hadn't thought about that - I usually don't arrange to play with others. Huh... I can't think of a way around it that still fits with my suggestion. :/

I agree with this..

The only mini game that has this problem is TagHunters. It isn't the players' faults for not choosing what team they want to be in fairly, it's the amount of players on one time that's way too much, and TagHunters never has as much people as any other teaming mini game, yet its maximum for most players is more than any other teaming mini game. Its maximum should be changed to 3-4 players to balance out the teams. And also removing a team would make it easier like only having two or three times so it's balanced.

^ That's just my idea but you can change it.

Fewer players or teams - that's a good idea, and it avoids the problem that @CollexGaming brought up, about friends being on different teams. I like this idea. :)
The maximum number of players could be changed from 16 to 12, maybe, with up to three players on a team if we keep the four teams. Or maybe, as you said, remove a team, but keep the maximum number of players on each team as four, which ends up being a maximum of twelve overall again. Or both - three teams, up to three players each, so an overall maximum of nine players.
Just suggestions/examples of how it could work out, based on what you said. I think this is a better idea than what I had been thinking at first.

I'm just pointing it out, people wanted the game with 4 teams so they updated it that way (not only in that thread as far as I remember), and reverting it would be a step backwards on what they did.

But I think that two teams, combined with randomly chosen teammates would indeed be better nowadays! :)
Just like what I say now...

It seems like a good way to solve the unbalanced teams problem, I think. I've played Tag Hunter games where only two teams were chosen, and there was nobody on the other two, and honestly, I find it a lot more enjoyable with just two . teams. That might just be me though. It's a lot more fun when the teams are evenly matched.
To me, going back to two teams sounds like the greatest idea suggested to fix this. I wouldn't want to make the staff take a step backwards, as you said, but I like the two teams thing - for fun and balance.

I think it is a bad idea,Because,People like teams...Or maybe you play im your friends and choose the team right...If they removed teams or teams selection...That's make a cruel or a mistake for the server...And one more think is in TSW,SW,SG,..

I think this kinda cruel too...Because

When this update is out,People aren't in the same team as they wanted too...They will team too other's for example

Green>Mr_EnderDudeMCPE=GRRRRR,The update ruins the game,Hey friend ill team to your team!!

Red>BuddyOfEnder=Sure!Let's BEAT THEM ;)

Isn't that ugly or look like a mess..Let's tag some STAFF'S too know their oppinion ;)

Thank's for suggesting :)
