Remove chests in murdermystery?

So today me and my friend spider were playing on the ferris wheel map. He was the murderer but before he killed me i asked him i wanted to try if this was a bug or glitch. I told him to put the sword in the chest. then i grabbed it. What i am saying is that the chest should be removed so no sjerrif or innocent can team with the murderer and do this. I am nit sure if the murderer or innocent can actually kill people with the sword but whatever.

The pictures under show me holding the sword while i was murderer and the sword in the chest.

EDIT: Also spider was the murderer. Spider is the person infront of me in the second picture.
