Of course, the invisibility could work a bit like in the Reckoners - it's mentioned that invisibilty Epics can't actually are themselves fully invisible, as they need light to strike their irises (although more than the irises should be necessary, but then you'd have two eyeballs floating in the air and that's just disturbing). But yeah, invisibility cloaks or similar objects make more sense than turning an actual person invisible - given that magic exists in each case and ignoring that neither would work in real life (sadly)
