Shipping is usually relationship based
with two people who have some type of close relationship mainly used for love and urging two people to become a couple due to either closeness or even hatred
basically if you have any type of relationship that seems even remotely lovey dovey people can and most likely will make you and the other person a “ship” even though one or both reject the ship
Usually these ships do get named by merging the names of the two people being shipped. Some dont get too bothered by it and are sometimes a little flattered but most really think its uncomfortable and start to openly reject it and thus making the ship a sunken ship ;(
