Okay staff, Please be honest.

Was there ever a time when you gave a friend of yours in the server a chance without punishing them. But other people you dont know did the same thing, yet u punished them.

Example,
Staff friend: Fuc-
*not muted because they are close and dont wanna backstab*

A regular player: Fuc--
*muted for 1 day*
@SenpaiBakaa
@ssunsett
@_PineappleDeath_
@otherstaff

I think they do watch their behavior, because as a staff member you should be a role model to everyone else who plays on the server.

Plus, it doesn't matter about friendship. The rules works for everyone, so it would be simply fair at it is. Because, if they broke a rule then they might get punished as well - if repeated, can be a demotion. not sure. :p

We can’t favor specific people simply because we have a closer relationship with them, I have over 650+ friends so you can say I’ve banned and muted them quite a few times.

Although it might not be one of the most ‘enjoyable’ thing to do, it’s apart of the job and if you signed up for it then it’s something you’re gonna have to do. ˎ₍•ʚ•₎ˏ

Personally no, not that I can remember. I don't remember every person I've every banned/muted but I know I've banned or muted friends if they broke rules, but I also don't have many good friends so xD

I understand why you're asking this question (and why many other people, including myself I'm not oblivious to this, have asked similar questions) but I feel like a lot of times things get really overgeneralized. You're seeing the few cases that maybe weren't handled well or maybe did have some favouritism involved or maybe were the result of conflicts of opinion in the staff team (because we don't always agree on what's the best way to handle things, or how the rules apply in annoyingly obscure cases). And you're assuming that it applies to every case and every staff member. I'm not blaming you for that, I'm just asking if you can try to see this from our point of view. We aren't malicious gods who are out to get everyone who isn't our friend, we're just normal humans (plural btw we aren't all the same person) trying to make this place more fair and safe for everyone, but we're more than capable of making mistakes.

Personally I treat every player equally the same & I view everyone the same. There's no difference between a low level player compared to a higher level player - at the end of the day, everyone on the server is a player. Every player started from level 0 but only difference is people made progress on the server.

If I see my friends or anyone breaking the rules, I will indeed ban/mute them - I also follow the rule book but I only apply the punishments to players who disobey the rules. I don't particularly like how people mention the word "favouritism", we all try to do our jobs professionally and try to solve conflicts & issues occurring at the time. I feel like this "stigma" about favouritism with staffs is sooo overlooked and many people don't fully understand staffs perspective and to why they made those choices of banning, unbanning, muting, not muting etc - but then again, staffs have rights to not say/explain anything about their choice.
