Okay, this is kind of a weird one since it's totally unrealistic, but mind control. Like, mind-enslaving cartoon hypnosis. I find it absolutely terrifying. I think a big part of it is that creepy blank look they get on their faces. I mean, if I was Tris from Divergent and woke up to find everybody walking around like robots, I would probably have just died of fear. Nope, I couldn't handle that.
A realistic fear I have on a similar level is having something touch my neck. As in, even I cannot touch my own neck. It doesn't matter if it's hardly touching or it's applying pressure, it has basically the same effect on me. The back of my neck is fine, but the front or sides? NOPE! In Biology, when we were reviewing the respiratory system, the teacher mentioned that if you put your hand to your neck and spoke, you could feel the vibrations in your larynx. The rest of the class did that and I started screaming, "HOW CAN YOU DO THAT?!" When my family went to Canada for Christmas once, I refused to zip the jacket up all the way or wear a scarf.
