Me and @SameerPlayzMC are making a map for MM. I was wondering if we can use the new 1.17 blocks or not?
I know some other servers wants worlds to be on a certain version! And some servers do 1.8.9 and below blocks only.

I think you can, I will tag @Dz81 and @lucas1901 since they're experts whenever there's a new Minecraft Update, I have no knowledge of any of Minecraft Updates at all

Back when 1.16 came out, if you didn’t update to 1.16 & played on a map that had 1.16 blocks, they would be invisible for you. I assume the same would be for 1.17 blocks.
