socialising and speaking in general

im cringing so bad rn bcas i think i stuffed up a possible friendship - this was today too lmaoo. I'm just gonna share the story because why not lmao

Spoiler: story time from today lmaoo

there's this new guy in my history class with a French accent that I find cool, and I really wanted to compliment it and talk to him in general because he seems nice. In history class today, I had to get my extroverted friend, who also hasnt talked to him before, to introduce me and herself to him. She compliments his accent first and then they get into a full conversation about their heritage (turns out they're both half german), so I'm sitting there just waiting for a time to butt into the conversation as well. I got cut out the first few times, then I rushed and complimented his accent because I didn't want to be cut off again, and the whole time i was stuttering and repeating words. I was so embarrassed that i covered my face so the guy can't see me and continued on w/ my work.
