Star vs the Forces of Evil

What? That... it's... it's totally an anime...

It does have a couple animesque moments, since the original plan for the show was a sort of homage to Sailor Moon. Star got a magical girl transformation in "Toffee," look:



But when it comes to real anime the only one I've really watched is 'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon' (or... something like that). I watched a few episodes and I guess it was interesting, but what bothers me is - it's not even that's all the gods are women, I could see an explanation for that - it's that Hestia likes Bell, or however his name should be spelled, when she's supposed to be an eternal maiden.
