Dear Everyone in BrokenLens, It's a New Decade.
... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... It's 2020, the 2000s second decade. Can you believe it? Time really flies, it feels like only yesterday not everyone had a fancy touch screen phone. And now, even babies have their own iPads and some elementary school children even have their own personal computers; well, those who are blessed and fortunate of course. But that's what brought us all together in the first place, whether or not that's a good thing is up to you. That's why we are all here, in BrokenLens. That's what made all of this possible, from discovering new ways to play Minecraft to meeting new people who would make a mark in your life. And it really is something special, because not all of us here play on our phones but we have players who play with their consoles as well. All thanks to the Better Together update, we were able to play together even if you didn't have a phone or a computer.
... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... Some may see you as another no-faced user in this forum, some may see you as a person that they see now and again, some may even see you as a friend. But get this, they probably wouldn't have known about you without BrokenLens or Minecraft in general. We've made acquaintances, friends, partners, clans, groups, squads, parties. We've also lost acquaintances, friends, partners. But don't be sad that they are gone, imagine them as an experience or a path marker. They served as an instrument to your growth, them leaving your life (whether it be temporarily or permanently) means that their purpose in your life was fulfilled. They have laid the foundation on which you will build yourself on, they gave you an experience which you can use to build your character. Which is why everyone matters, no matter what or who they are. Even if you think you don't matter, even if you think you have not made an impact in the world, trust me when I say that everyone makes an impact one way or another. And when a person leaves your life, they've fulfilled their purpose. Imagine you are a plant, the people who come and go in your life are the nutrients that help you grow and the people who stay for a long time are the gardeners who shape you and maintain you. You may think you are just like any other plant, but every plant is special. On the outside, you may be similar to someone but on the inside you are always unique. Because your experiences are always unique, you are unique without even trying to be unique.
... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... This new decade should be a sign, a sign that you should notice, a sign that you should care about. Improve upon yourself. This is not some "New year, new me" kind of change, this is different. If you are old enough to see beyond what is in front of you, if you are able to see all of what you are and what makes you "you", I urge you to look at and into yourself and improve upon the things that can be improved upon. Whether it be something small like finally having the ability to clean your own room without being told to do so, to something more difficult like breaking a bad habit. See this decade as a decade of change and improvement, see this decade as a time of great development. If you are to do this great task, it would be one of the greatest tasks that you'll be doing in your life. It's a task that may not have a definitive end, but it's a task that is rewarding. I am not going to lie to you and say that everyone can do it, I will say that most people can do it. But don't let that discourage you, even if you think you can't do it that doesn't mean that you shouldn't try at all. Prove to everyone, especially yourself, that you are not part of the group of people who can't do it. And if you are trying your best to improve yourself in this decade, you have my full support and I believe in you.
... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... Some of you may be thinking "Who are they to think that they could tell people what to do?", and my answer to that is this: I am no one, I am nothing more than a user on your screen. I am merely a set of texts arranged to be understandable by those who know and understand English, I am nothing to you or anyone and I don't expect you to care for what I have to say. But what you should know is that I am only here to help, I try my best. I may not be perfect, but I try my best. Everyone needs encouragement, whether it be for something small or something large. I understand that not a lot of people have someone to encourage them to do good, it's often the opposite that happens. I understand that the world can be cold and unforgiving, so I try my best to help at least one person to be warm and feel safe. And I encourage everyone to do the same, don't just see yourself as important but see everything and everyone as important. Look past the bad and bring out the good, everyone is good deep down; it just takes a while to dig out the bad stuff. Trade your knife for a loaf of bread, it's best if you feed yourself bread rather than feeding on the suffering of others.
