I think a really cool way to promote the forums/discord would be in the server. So many people play BrokenLens, and when asked "Do you have an account on the forums/discord server?" not many people know what your talking about, and majority have never even heard of them. A great way for this website to get noticed is that (when staff isn't in-server or can't be contacted) when players are having problems in-game. Like they see a player that needs to be reported, or they are new to the server and want information on it. Refer them to the forums/discord! And of course, if you know the information that they need feel-free to tell them.

I've noticed that with the amount of people that play the server only a hand-full are actually members on here, and most people are still visitors. By promoting the website in-game, I think that would be an amazing way to get new members. With the watcher only banning hacking/possible hacking players that still leave many other people to report. And with only so many members we can only get so many.

And I'm also saying this because my friends in-game who aren't on forums/discord come to me asking for a lot (mostly to report people and to get a staff member). But, if they knew about it then people wouldn't have to worry about having to instantly leave our matches to make sure the situation isn't drastic.

So a great way to promote would be to say, "Oh you found an inappropriate skin player? Well take a screenshot and go to www.brlns.net and you can post it on their forums page! If you need help then I will go online and either help you or let you meet with a staff to get you suited."

See, helping a player, promoting forums, and getting a new member all in one. A win-win for everyone if I say so myself. Idk if y'all are about promoting your websites, but I do know y'all look for the support of the players and members. If you think this idea is okay please feel free to mention it in the comments, or if you have something against it, or just a question about it, for real let me know. I can explain myself better then.

(Also, by doing this I don't mean force a player to become a member, rather just inform them there is a place that answers any questions they have. This post isn't to pressure people into joining, just to promote the forums/discord server)

Also, I know that the website is promoted in-game on the top of the screen. But, if I'm going to be honest not many people are going to look up if they are zoned into what they are doing, or stay looking up long enough to see all the news that's placed up there. I look up and see it but its honestly rarely, and even with the flashing colors, the maps are so lively, vibrant, and amazing it kinda drowns out the Brlns news. So many people are focused on the actual game rather than the top of the screen. It also depends on what devise they use too. Smaller screen means less space so the user will have to be more focused on the game. Bigger screens (like laptops or pc) have a ton more space, so the news is all the way at the top mostly out of their peripheral vision.

They do promote it in game though

When you are in lobby the purple text promotes discord, when you join a game it promotes forums, when you log in it promotes both so you can’t go a day in bl without seeing an ad for it.

Yea, but still, whenever I ask people about it they tell me they've never heard of it. Or that they don't know what I'm talking about. and I just found that really weird.

I just think if they constantly pump out ads every few seconds people will get annoyed, just saying

Yea, I'm not telling them to do that. I'm just saying have actual players in-game help, because people will most likely pay more attention to what their friends say or to the chat rather than the ads. And if you said that it's promoted when people enter certain servers, not many people are paying attention to the Server name they just joined because most already know what it is.

I'm saying unless someone gives you a reason to help promote it to them don't worry about it. If no one walks up to you and ask "hey, how to I report a player?" or something like that, you don't have to go around spamming "JOIN THE FREAKING FORUMS!! IT HAS ALL THE ANSWERS!" :lmao::lmao::lmao: Cause, yes that would be very annoying.

I mostly just mentioned this because whenever i'm really into my games and someone comes like "COOKIE HELP ME!!! HACKA!!" or "COOKIE THIS SKIN!!" or "IM BEING BULLIED COOKIE HELP!" I dont want to constantly have to leave to get a staff member, cause by the time I get back the player is gone and help has just arrived. That's both work for me and a staff member just to leave what we are doing to find out were not needed anymore. So I just started telling people to get screenshots and report it if a staff isn't online at the time. Now I still help them, but it's a lot more easier for me to do that rather then to have to scurry between apps and websites because my friends don't have forums/discord.
