So people can private report players by creating a convo with the staff, but if the banned player asks to see the proof and if the reporter don't wanna show it, how would you know that the proof is truthful? Like it could be easily a fake proof, this is an absurd. Imagine this: you get arrested for being accused of stealing a store, but if you can't see the proof how would you know that the proof is real? So you could just like hide the skin and the reporter ign? Because this is completely unfair.

As a person that's currently banned, I agree with this argument. Even though the reason why I got banned is not relevant in this situation since I know what I did, sometimes people could falsely claim that you could get someone banned. Furthermore, showing the proof but having the person who reported it anonymous is what should be allowed in my opinion.

It’s only unfair until you’re the person privately reporting someone who bullies or bothers you.... I don’t get why people constantly compare actual crimes to private reports on a Minecraft server, it’s not comparable even the slightest. (」゚ペ)」

while we do understand the concerns and idea in general, private reports are something we take very seriously and look into carefully. It’s not as simple as just blocking out the name and skin, like imagine reporting one of your friends for cussing in your PVT, do you think they’ll be mad at you or no since you blocked out the username? Or if you wanna report a creep but don’t want them to see you did? We can’t just blur out names and assume the person being reported will forget all the people who could’ve been a possibly. Nobody wants to feel pressured into reporting somebody, which is why we want everyone to feel comfortable and safe while keeping BrokenLens a nice place. It’s unfortunately not as simple as just ‘showing them’ the proof.
