Idk, I don't know how difficult chinese is but I'd say English is more difficult.
English: You have infinitive forms of verbs like "to be" as well as present forms of verbs like "playing" where they're equal in meaning when giving an opinion like, "I love playing BrokenLens/ I love to play BrokenLens". Most other languages just use the infinitive.
English also has contractions in words like, "I am -> I'm," whereas in other languages, you don't say something like, "My mother's bedroom", you say, "The bedroom of my mother." (Like in Spanish, for example.)
English also is more complex when dealing with things like this, "I've been playing piano for five years," which is really complicated to translate into another language like in French, you turn that sentence to translate, "I play piano since five years."
English also has trick nouns like "sheep" that is spelt the same when plural so people learning English have to spot the tense using other words in a sentence that includes "sheep" and the same applies to other words like "read" which can be past or present tense depending on your pronunciation which would be hard if you had an accent in your voice.
