Another trial was held, and jeon was found guilty. He cried and begged, but they wouldn't listen.
Jeon was thrown off the side of a tall building. He hit the ground with a crack, his bones splitting in two and his skull crushed.
He bled out as people fled the scene.
Did they catch the Poisoner?
Later that night, Song was invited to dinner by his neighbor, in celebration that they had both lived through this.
Song checked to make sure all of his windows and doors were locked, then he left.
He arrived at his neighbor's house a little before six.
He could hear a voice coming from inside the house, so he knocked on the door.
The door flew open and someone grabbed his shoulders, pulled him inside, and slammed the door.
They pulled him under the staircase and sat beside him.
"They're here! I don't know what to do," the girl beside him trembled.
"Hey, what's going on, Ally?" Song asked.
"They're here to kill me. I know it. They came through the back door…" Ally rambled on.
"What do you mean, "they?" There's only one Poisoner out there...right?" Song whispered.
"No, no, no, no...the Assassin," Ally weeped.
Everything was silent.
Song heard the click of a gun and creaking coming from the living room.
"On three, we run out of the door, okay?" Song whispered.
Ally nodded fearfully.
"1...2...3…" They both bolted from under the staircase and pushed open the door.
A shot rang through the air, and Ally's body dropped to the floor. Blood seeped through her clothes and onto the patio.
Song backed up slowly as a gun was put against his forehead.
The Assassin put him in a chair and tied him up.
"What are you going to do to me? Torture me? Shoot me?" Song demanded.
"Worse," they chuckled, "I'm going to let the Poisoner deal with you. But of course, they can't know who I am. So I have to leave, sorry to break up the party," the Assassin slid through the hallways and out the back door.
A little while later, someone came in through the side door. They walked into the room that Song was tied up in.
"Wow, what a gift to me! You're already here, tied up, like a present!" The Poisoner sneered.
"This makes my job incredibly easier. Tell the Assassin I said thanks, kay? Although they insist on remaining anonymous for some odd reason," they told Song.
"Hm, well, straight to business, I guess!" The Poisoner popped open a small bottle and wispy smoke filled the air.
Song coughed and his eyes watered.
The Poisoner walked up to Song and made a small cut in his neck using a pocket knife. They then poured some liquid from within the small bottle onto the open wound.
Song screamed and writhed in pain as the chemicals entered his bloodstream.
"As soon as this spreads to your entire body, you will die. Painfully, slowly, from none other than Poison," the Poisoner laughed, then left Song there to die.
