So i was making a trap with pistons, made a piston (took forever) and i was basically done with the trap, just needed to power it. But it wasnt working... Tried a lever, button, redstone torch, even a redstone block. I dont know of it just doesn't work but i would like to know if it does and how you would do it.

tnt placed next to a redst. torch works
tnt placed on top of a redst. block works.
redstone lamps work
