/pet name glitch in waiting room

I was changing my pets name while I was waiting for a QuakeCraft game to start with /pet name and the blaze rod, lapis, and yellow die appeared in my hotbar. The blaze rod is able to use the magic staff effect but the other two dont work. Want to make sure this isnt a known glitch already before it happens again...

Nope. I don't think so as it doesn't give you any advantage in the game.
