Chapter 1
The walls loomed over the abandoned town. Nava woke up and tried to get up, but a huge pain shocked through her entire body.
“Gah… it hurts...”
She looked around. The place was rotted and broken down. Everything was shrouded in shadows, and she could barely see the orange sky over the walls. With all of her strength, Nava managed to stand up. She put her hand on the back of her neck and a sting made her jump. When she looked at her hand, it was shining with blood. She decided that the best thing she could do was walk around.

Ben walked along the walls, trying to find an exit. It had been an entire hour, and he’d only gone a sixteenth around the circumference of the walls. He passed by dead trees and leaves, and what he assumed to be where a lake used to be.
Ben saw a person lying in the distance. He hid away and watched as they stood up. The person looked around and started to walk in Ben’s direction. He tried to sneak away, but he was too slow. The best thing he could do was attack them.

She heard a rustle. She figured it was just the wind blowing leaves, but after thinking about it, she realized that there was no way that the wind could blow here. She looked around and found a wooden plank. She grabbed it and cautiously moved forward, ready to swing at whoever or whatever caused the rustling. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a shadow move by. She quickly turned around and swung, but hit nothing. A shadow loomed over her, and as she slowly looked behind her and saw a figure jump out at her. Nava quickly thrust the plank at the assaulter and hit them.
“Ow! What was that for?!”
The person fell back, clutching their nose. It started to bleed.
“Hmph. to be fair, you did try and attack me.”
“Hey, put yourself in my shoes. What would you do if you saw a suspicious dark figure in a sketchy place”
“Good point. Anyways, where are we?”
“I could ask the same”
The 2 looked around, trying to find an explanation of where they were and why they were here. In the end, they decided the best thing to do was to try and find an exit.

The person gasped as they ran. Drops of blood flew behind them from a wound on their head. They gave a small breeze as they ran, making the leaves blow a small bit. As a leaf lands on the ground, it gets stepped on by a pale foot, its veins bulging out and purple. Some blood drops fall to the ground, right next to the foot.

“What the f*** is tha-*
"Shut UP!"
Nava quickly covers Ben's mouth as they watch a... thing... attack a man in black
It was very pale. Its veins bulged way out of its skin, barely big enough to see them pulsing. It’s creepily long arms were attached to a long, slender hand. Its head(?) had no eyes, just a huge, bloody mouth. It licked its lips with its snake-like tongue, and it whipped it at the person it was chasing, slashing their back. It then grabbed the person’s ankle with the tongue and slowly dragged them over and picked them up.
The person whimpered in pain. It slowly rose the person above its head(?) and opened its mouth more, making it huge enough to fit a car inside. The person spazzed around, seizures, and then suddenly stopped moving. Blood dripped into the mouth of the creature, and it gave a small grin. Its jaws snapped, and blood flies everywhere.
