I'm a character designer with a picky mind. There are colors I mainly avoid because they're not appealing or show a part of the characters personality or talents.

I typically avoid dark yellows and certain greens. They might look better with the saturation turned down a bit.

Honestly murky/desaturated yellows. Bright and pale yellow is fine but if you turn down the saturation or tone it starts to look ugly. Especially if you mix in green.
