Have u tried double tapping the home button and swiping minecraft away? That worked for me when I couldn’t access the commands

Lucas, that's called restarting your Minecraft.

You can go to the menu in between the Quick Play npc and Hub npc to toggle your /friend alerts in the settings. Hope this helps =^*^=
