Greetings, it is I KnightWalker49

This is yet another one of my writing exercises, if you haven't read the first one I suggest checking it out as it explains everything: https://brokenlens.xyz/forums/threa...-on-for-bored-people-who-like-to-read.104571/

Furthermore, the topic is suppose to act as a starting point and not as a general theme for the text.

Without further ado, I hope you enjoy the text below.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Main Topic (but is not limited to): Write about memories.

Memories, good and bad. Past events, good and bad. We all do good and bad things, and you tend to remember them for a long time; no matter how mundane or important they are. It's bad to hold onto things for too long, because it will tire you out. More often than not, you will need to let go. Letting go is something hard to do mentally, but can easily be done physically. You can easily drop an item onto the floor, but you can't say the same with memories. They are much more heavier than anything you will ever carry, and it will stick to you for as long as you can remember.

They are tough to remove, you have to do a lot more than just pretending to not remember. But sometimes, you don't need to let go. Sometimes it's best to remember them, so that you can come back to them and learn something. Memories can be useful, memories can also hurt. You can get stuck remembering things, you will get sucked in and you will find it hard to get out. They are one tricky thing to manage, because you can't control them. Memories can just come knocking at your door without you inviting them.

Memories, good and bad. Past events, good and bad. It's all there in your head, and maybe other's heads as well. The thing is, you are different to others and yourself. You may see yourself as one thing, but to others you are completely different. It will determine the way people remember you, the way someone sees you is unique to even your own. It's like looking at a mirror and seeing a different person, sure if you move it will copy you but it's not you.

You have a different persona in people's heads, whether you like it or not. Which can either be good or bad, depending on the context. Maybe someone sees you as a nice person, but another sees you as a demon. More often than not, you won't get to fully understand how someone truly views you, it's hard. You will know that you are different to them, but you won't really understand why you seem different to them. They will remember you as one thing, and it will stick with them for as long as they can remember.

Memories, good and bad. You are good and bad. It's all in your head, and maybe other's heads as well. You are never one thing, you are always a lot of things. Most people do good and bad things, however some people lean on one or the other. Depending on what you do, it will affect people in different ways. And your reputation may be changed, for either the better or worse. You may be remembered as that person who always does good, or the person who always does bad. Either way, you may have control over it... but not completely.

You cannot easily manipulate people, it's tough work. You can't just change their mind, you cannot just tell them anything. But at the same time, people believe things easily. People remember both good and bad information that is being fed to them. And there's little we can do to control that. You are not you to them, you are a different you to everyone. And no matter how hard you try, you will always be someone different to the way you want to be portrayed.

Memories, good and bad. Everything is good and bad. It's hard to remember, and it's hard to forget. A lot of things can be learned, but they can be difficult to remember. Things can be neglected, but difficult to forget. There is little to no balance whatsoever, and it's starting to get annoying. You can do good, but still be viewed as a bad person; and vice versa. You can be a hero to some, but a villain to others.

Memories are something you can't control, simply thinking about something can trigger a chain of neurons in your brain which makes you remember a certain thing. Trying to forget something requires you to think about something else, but in doing so you are thinking about the thing you are trying to forget. You can never truly forget something that easily, and you can never truly remember something that easily as well. There needs to be a balance, between remembering and forgetting.

Memories, good and bad. Perspective, good and bad. People, good and bad. Everything and everyone has a polar opposite. Even something mundane has a polar opposite, everything has sides. Everything has to be balanced, everything needs to be regulated. Everything needs to be remembered.

To maintain, to preserve, to strive, to remember. To be overgrown, to decay, to die, to forget. To wake up, to remember, to sleep, to forget. To be sober, to remember, to be drunk, to forget. To maintain peace, to remember, to wage war, to remember. To isolate, to forget, to socialise, to forget. To remember, to forget.
