Um because you can’t play with mobile data: only wi-fi.

On 1.16.40 i still can play with mobile data even server but now i cant its very annoying since i had a crappy wifi and my mobile data has faster internet

I don't have wifi yet for now, and yeah the new update is disappointing I expect it to be lot more fun.

I know how u felt dude unfortunately minecraft wont allow u to play multiplayer with mobile data, at least for nowI don't have wifi yet for now, and yeah the new update is disappointing I expect it to be lot more fun.

Tht is my settings earlier when i wanted to play with mobile data but still, it only works for accessing marketplace and seeing servers status but not play on it. Try it ureself, it wont work
