Greetings, it is I KnightWalker49

I have been playing in the server for a relatively long time, and as time went on the number of cheaters has grown significantly. And for some odd reason this feature has not been implemented yet, the /votekick command.

/votekick (if you want to make it short: /vk) is pretty self explanatory, you create a poll to kick a certain player. It would be ideal if someone were to use that command the game would stop for a few seconds until the poll wears off, let's say it freezes players in place until everyone has voted or the poll wears off.

This is just an approximate percentage, but 1 out of 3-5 sessions/rounds in most gamemodes there's at least one cheater. Why not give the players more power to help reduce the number of cheaters? You can even log who uses the command in a certain game along with who voted for, who voted against, and who didn't vote.

This is such a simple yet viable idea, and somehow no one has thought to implement it yet. If you are a member of the development team in Broken Lens, please take this idea into consideration or actually put it into practice.

If you agree with this suggestion and you want to see it be implemented, please vote at the poll above this post.

I hope you enjoyed reading this!

This could easily be abused, for example; if there’s a bunch of mean bean players which dislike this specific user - they’re all just gonna try kicking them.

Kicking players is a staff perk, so for ‘normal’ players to have a staff perm that overall just seems odd, especially if they’re not trustworthy.
Plus - we already have the watcher which kicks and bans players which happen to be hacking. :p

The watcher cant detect jump hackers and no clip hackers

I am just saying that we should have the ability to remove these individuals from a session, not from the server itself.

And as for the abusing of this command, I totally see that as a possibility. Which is why there should be a limit as to how many times you can kick one player, and if a player votekicks the same player over and over again every session then there should be a cooldown and a notification about this player possibly spamming/abusing said command.

I mean, you usually don't get the same cheater on consecutive sessions which may make this system plausible.

It still can be abused

There could be more than 5-8 people who are friends playing the same game in the same lobby, they could votekick everybody else so they can have the whole game to themselves (example: bowspleef)

Sorry I disagree, like maddie said it can be abused

I won't tell you why this is a bad idea but this actually did exist in 2016 but it got removed for, well, abuse. I don't think it'll be added back, though - it's too big a risk.
