Nerf?

Ik this might be a stupid question but yeah here it is
So I was playing sw and I got a trident, I was encountering my friend and every time I hit her with the trident, her hp just went down by 1
Yes, only 1
Like im hitting her by bare hands lmao
Idk if its the nerf of pc or its some kinda nerf on tridents- or maybe a bug?
Cuz in the original minecraft battle system trident have +8 damage, even more than a dia sword
