As you heard, BrokenLens came to a shutdown, and the server will be no more, I’m definitely not about to cry right now, and I know it couldn’t be more ridiculous than ever that I’m crying about a Minecraft server, that gathered millions of people I will never meet in real life, but, for me, it was something.. Allow me to share my story..
My story in BrokenLens.
It began on 2019, I lost my Xbox account, and I was obsessed with playing online Minecraft servers, one of the servers I was obsessed with before finding out about BrokenLens, was Cubecraft, (ig i can say it now lol), I lost my Xbox account, for whatever reason, so I went on Youtube, and searched “pls help me i ned to play mc servers without xboxj” and most results were the same thing..

“TYPE IN THE IP ADDRESS, SAVE IT, REMOVE IT THEN U WILL SEE IT IN UR FRIENDS”
“THIS SERVER IS AMAZING, U CAN PLAY ALL GAMES WITHOUT XBOX”
“YEA I LIKE CHEESE”
I was in myself what is this server they are talking about? I couldn’t understand anything, but I decided to give it a shot and it worked!
I looked around the lobbies, and the cool spectacular buildings that I was completely not aware of, I joined SkyWars cuz it was my most fav game, right there is when my journey began, I was just wondering and playing, like, completely oblivious of what I was doing, all I knew is that I was playing and having fun, not knowing that those will be precious memories..
From that game, I met my first ever friend, I can’t remember their name, but me and them were the homies, we played TSW every afternoon, and we always won..
from them, I knew their friend, and from their friend, i knew their friends, and so on..
I kept getting muted and banned for 29 days, not knowing why is it happening? I never knew about forums or anything, but then I decided to see, why am I getting banned, there, I joined on July 6 2019, and created my first ever thread, on Ban Appeals:https://brokenlens.xyz/forums/threads/unban-people-who-never-do-anything-wrong.103765/
I got responded by @ssunsett , she took responsibility and patience to handle a silly 11 year old kid who was like “pls unban meeeeeeeeeeeeeee”
later I decided to stick around and BYPASS using “fazfo” (not sure how i wasnt banned using that acc but lol), until my ban was lifted out, I came back to fazfoz
I played with a lot of friends who were close to my level, 53, 72, 13, yk, (mentioning level 53 the reason I got banned creating that thread was saying “I am The Owner” as a joke not knowing is banable LOL)
I noticed a TSW Legends player named JCMAruka, I used PVT, to tell them “WOW UR SO COOL OML LETS BE FRIENDS YEA” and they were like “uhhh ok”, OMG I WAS SO CRINGE LIKE WHAT
We played a bunch of tsw games together (not gonna set color anymore cuz im lazy), and from them I knew @Martehhh , u may remember him, a bl Ytber, and he had some friends which ofc *I WANNA ADD ALL OF U GUYS*
We played a lot of cool games, quake craft, splatter, and so on.
I decided to act stupid and annoying to everyone, and seek a lot of attention, until I made a complete mess in forums and server, so I decided to just leave cuz I hated it lmao.
then on July 12 I think? I decided to come back and see hows everyone doing, surprised to see that everyone has left, and new players joined in, I couldnt have the chance to say sorry to old friends, *until i got discord so its all good*
The server wasnt the same when I came back, too much toxicity, hackers, system is broken, everything was laggy and buggy
and on December, Vertx announced that the server is running low on funds and everything, then they shutted it down.
am I sad? Of course I am sad, this is one of the most saddest moments in my life, I loved brokenlens, it was an escape from reality, it was the only server I always loved playing on, and its just sad and UNBELIEVABLE to see it go, i wish if could have spent more time playing the server so that I wouldnt miss it so much..
Its day 1, and im not sure how am I not gonna miss it so much till day 30
I ask the staff, players, everyone, to make april 16, Brokenlens day, the day where Brokenlens disappeared, a special day, an anniversary of remembering, how that old server, is still alive, in our hearts
