Now what I’m gonna say is a bit controversial because some people may agree or disagree in extreme matters so before you start an argument please respect my opinion as well as others so that way we can get out in one piece.
so it’s December and your mostly excited or worried that 2020 is gonna end soon and I can totally respect that if you have your reasonings.
Thinking about now a lot of crazy things happened during 2020 and most of them are not good, we almost got into WW3, Coronavirus cases and deaths are rising by the minute, protesters are becoming violent after George Floyd’s death, republicans and democrats becoming more and more segregated than ever and much more. You see 2020 was supposed to be a brand new decade so we can have similar experience like 2019 but now people have changed more negatively than positively. Social media has gotten to the point where we live in China and that says a lot because I’ve been seeing celebrities being canceled either by being nice towards republicans like Donald Trump that were like more than 5 years ago (yes that happened to dominoes once) as well as people making jokes about themselves racially, sexually, or other reasons.
today what I’m gonna cover is about the people in 2020 and why I don’t feel safe towards our generation.
Being canceled: let’s first talk About being canceled on social media. What does it mean being canceled on social media? Me and cancel on social media is being blamed or removing the influence to someone because they’ve either done or said something wrong. Cancel culture was made eventually and cancel culture 2020 has now gotten to the point where they can cancel anyone if they have different opinions compared to their opinion or we just do dumb or silly things on social media like joking around or simply teasing someone.
Should people to cancel yes and no why do I mix these two answers together well generally it’s because like there’s some people who either do or say something that could cause harm toward certain communities are there also people who say the similar thing I have some form of irony would they do something that’s very foolish or very silly for themselves and that’s what cancel culture does they cancel anyone who both intentionally harm A group or community and cancel those who do it for the sake of iron or they’re just silly. And who runs cancel culture like what what group runs cancel culture well it’s simple is generation Z and generation Z has some sort of affection to themselves where they need to become perfect and perfect on things that I need to do and look upon public figures like for example David Dobrik, Liza Koshi, James Charles as well as gamers like Pewdiepie, Jschlatt, basically influencers that are either on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and even TikTok. For me that feels like cancel culture is becoming a culture where everybody can hate on everybody for some of the small things they do.
In my opinion it just feels like we live in a hateful world end according to the Bible is generally portrays on what the Bible is talking about, the “world” is a place for those who are against or doesn’t like the gospel. So what does the Bible say about cancel culture? In Luke chapter 15 Jesus Christ was explaining a story about a man two sons one was younger and one was older. Younger son went up to his dad and told him that I want my inheritance now or in other words dad I wish you were dead so I can have the money and get what I want. The father love his son so much so that dad gave the younger son the money and saw the sun went out and bought a lot of crazy things and was very unwise about saving money and they run the younger son hit rock bottom and unfortunately Live in poverty he was so hungry and poor that he had to leave for the pigs. The sun then he made a decision where he will return back to us to his father but not as a son but more as a servant. Since his dad is rich you would expect the father to reject him right actually no because the father loved his son no matter what he had done or have said and so he made a party for his son to come back. The other son however was ready to make fun of his younger brother but he told his dad like why are you bringing him back like look at what he’s done and look what resulted towards his actions. His father says don’t you get it your brother was dead but now he was alive or was lost but now he was found I got to show him love we got to show him grace. That story represents I want Jesus would do to you if you were the sun and if the father was Jesus, you’re forgiven from all of your sins and he still loves you. Might be wondering how does this connect to social media basically the social media or as we call I cancel culture is sort of like the older brother and if you made a mistake you’re basically the Younger brother but if there’s someone who forgives you Then that person could be the father and that’s what Jesus is if you make a mistake you could reach out to him you can say like I’ve done this I’ve done that you’ll still forgive you because you confess your sins towards Jesus Christ and even to this day most People from our generation don’t understand on how to love towards other people even if they made a mistake I made sure the people who made mistakes by in the Bible everything theyPeople from our generation don’t understand on how to love towards other people even if they made a mistake I made sure there are people who made mistakes but in the Bible everything done terrible things to you you still got a love them because Jesus loves all of us because Christians as Christians we’re not perfect We’re not like these people who don’t commit sins know Christians will sit as well just like other people and Jesus will still forgive them and we will forgive you if you’re not a Christian follower. I hope this message helps you a lot I’m not I’m not good at giving out devices but I’m trying to be as helpful as I can I could be breaking rules to this forms by doing this just so I can start spreading the gospel thank you and I hope you can respect my opinions.
