My friend list is glitched

I just got a transfer ticket and someone told me that my friend list gets erased and every time I type in grm no 1 see's it but IF my friend list is supposed to be empty why does it say when ppl r online and I tryed friend requesting one of my friends and it said they are on my friend list I don't no how this works I don't no if its a glitch or not
