Invalid MurderMystery Glitch

Weirdest thing happened. I was playing MurderMystery and I got innocent, but for some reason the game mistaked me for the sheriff and I got the sheriff's gun. The sheriff said he didn't have any gun. Has this happened to anyone before?

Sorry I worded it wrong, after the match got out the sheriff from that match said they didn't get the gun
