Murder mystery tips!

If you need help at being good at murder mystery, this is the place! This will include videos, pictures and much more. But first - Murder mystery is a game where the innocents must stay alive, the Sheriff must help the innocents win and the murderer must kill everyone. The sheriffs main job is to kill the murderer. Before playing this game mode there is some rules.

This is a solo game mode. No teaming is alowed. If you are murderer and you team with sheriff that’s a 2 day ban. Sorry.
That’s the main rule but vulgar language and Innapropriate skins are also bannable/mutable.

TIPS ON BEING INNOCENT -

You are an innocent, the 1st most common role in this game. Your job is to avoid the murderer.
Tips -

❥ Collect 5 Gold before you hide
❥ Have your 3rd slot in your inventory selected. (That’s where the sheriff dye will appear when the sheriff gun becomes available!)

EVIDENCE THIS WORKS - https://streamable.com/btqm5 as you can see I was notified with the yellow dye in my hand and I was quick enough to get the sheriff and win!

❥ Don’t follow the murderer. It’s annoying because you get in the sheriffs way.
❥ If the sheriff is abusive, stay away. You MAY die.
❥ Don’t know the murderer? When the sheriff dies whoever comes out of that area is a suspect.
❥ Don’t always trust the chat, people may be lying about the murderer!
❥ Before you chat you have to hide! Dying while typing is annoying!
❥ The #murd #sheriff thing doesn’t work! You look stupid if you do it.

TIPS FOR SHERIFF -
The sheriffs job is to kill the murderer. Teaming with the murderer isn’t allowed.
Tips -

❥ Avoid everyone at the start. Everyone is a suspect.
❥ Don’t always believe what people say in the chat.
❥ Don’t go near the murderer to shoot them, keep distance in case they are PC or can throw their sword.
❥ Hide every few minutes
❥ Try not to abuse the innocents, you may accidentally hit the murderer.
❥ Try to refrain from holding your gun in the open.
❥ Don’t attempt to shoot anyone until the rightful person is revealed.
❥When lights are out hide, don’t run around.
❥ Kill an innocent, and you’re dead. Don’t try to shoot the murderer when there’s innocents around,
❥ Don’t purposely kill the wrong person, it’s damn right annoying as hell.
❥ Turn on split controls to shoot.

TIPS FOR BEING THE MURDERER -
This is the least common role as you have a 1/24 chance in getting it, it’s also hard to win as murderer unless you have strategy’s. Here are my most used strategy’s.

Tips -

❥ If you’re confident leave your sword out and rampage, if you keep putting your sword away it looses time.
❥ If you don’t want to be this role. Leave. Staying in game with a murderer who doesn’t do jack is annoying and frustrating.
❥ If you’re stuck ask a friend to spectate the last innocents
❥ Teaming with an innocent IS ALLOWED. if they become the sheriff and you team it’s bannable then.
❥ If you need to talk in /prm, /grm or /frm then hide somewhere.
❥ kill inside rooms first then the hallways or outside area
❥ Lights out? USE IT. If the sheriff is good use it to blind them, you have one shot at lights out so use it wisley.
❥ Throw. Your. Sword.
❥ Throwing your sword is easier with split controls. If you are going in a spree turn it off so you can hit everywhere on screen.
❥Hackers are annoying right? Friend all the staff so all you have to do is /grm THERES a Hacker in my game, and they will be right there.

Being murderer is hard for a lot of people. Don’t be discouraged If you loose. Even I had to have a friend who helped me.

Omigosh, where has this thread been all my life?! I love how you wrote individually for each of the roles and the advice was actually quite original and relevant.

Also, before this, I just watched body language to identify the murderer (which makes no sense whatsoever since we’re all blocks XD)

Finally, I have a question :D
If you’re murderer on a map like “Clown” or “Wild West” where innocents can camp in high places and easily see who the murderer is, what would your advice be? Do you pursue innocents on the ground first or high up?

If I was murd on those sorts of maps I would kill everyone in the buildings then throw my sword at the people high up, it may sound scummy but I kill high levels first as they have the best spots usually :notworthy:

lmao on maps like clown i still think sometimes it's impossible to find every player as a murd XD i normally end up leaving.. clown is meh favourite map tho cause even if the murd is a pro i can relax in my favourite spot and never get caught!
