Oneshot: a magazine, brochure, or the like that is published only one time, with no subsequent issues intended, usually containing articles and photographs devoted to one topical subject.
I wasn't in too good of a mood: two of my closest friends, Jazmine and Ramen (his real name was Raymond), had recently had a big argument, and they were pressuring me to pick sides. I however, couldn't. They both were special to me, but neither was more than the other.
Ramen had said, "We'll give you until tomorrow to decide who's better. I think it's obvious, really." Then looked at Jazmine and smirked. It was obvious, he thought he was the better friend.
Tomorrow... is going to be a crap day. I can already tell. I decide to relieve my stress, and to think about Jazmine and Ramen's argument again, over a nice game of Minecraft Murder Mystery. It was one of my favourite minigames. The intense feeling of fear and risk, mixed with trust and dishonesty, along with a friendly community, was what I loved about Murder Mystery.
I opened my Windows 10 and waited for it to boot up. During that short time period, I got some cold iced tea to drink. My Win10 was set up right next to the window (ironic eh?), and the summer heat was blazing through, which was why I got more than one glass.
After booting up my Win10 and logging onto MCPE, I scrolled through my servers list, looking for the Murder Mystery on my favourite server... ahah! Found it. I clicked on it and waited. I was rather nervous about the server being laggy, since it had recently updated to 1.1.0 and was like the most laggiest server on the planet. Thankfully, however, there weren't many people online at this hour, so there wasn't much lag.
I ran up to the portal which took you to the waiting lobby. There was a Quickplay NPC I could've clicked on, but in my opinion, his job was basically to stand like a dummy and allow people to punch him just so they could play a minigame he'll never get to even see. So I never use him to get to the waiting lobby.
There was a little bit of lag when teleporting, but that was fine, due to the fact that when I had entered, the game was about to start in only 5..

And I was teleported once more to the map I was going to play on. Ah, the good ol' abandoned circus map. This was one of my favourites for coin grinding. I ran around, parkouring over blocks, waiting for my role to be assigned to me. 3 seconds later, it was.
"Damn, innocent again," I mumbled, and although I sounded sad about it, I was actually quite glad - I could do my challenges I'd made up for myself as an innocent. I ran around collecting gold, quite faster than others, as I parkoured over blocks more smartly and didn't get caught in any bushes or spiderwebs.
After two minutes, I had already collected 20 gold, which wasn't bad. I ran through the trees, looking for more, when I saw a girl with long, light brown hair wearing a rainbow outfit weald a sword and kill a guy fully clothed in black (I assume it was a tuxedo) and wearing "swag" glasses.
"The Murderer killed BenjyPlayz." said the chat. That girl must be the murderer. I mean really, she had the sword, how could she not be? Thank God I was hidden by the shrubbery surrounding me, or else I would've been dead by now.
As the girl ran off, I walked out cautiously. Then, I ran. I ran as fast as I could and collected as much gold as I could while avoiding the murderer. If I was going to die, I was going to die a worthwhile death.
I paused for a moment and turned to look at the other side of the ferris wheel. I saw her, the murderer. I quickly ducked into the ring, which was fortunately covered by a tent. I parkoured up to the bleachers, collecting more gold as I ran by. Suddenly, the chat said the murderer had killed the sheriff. I spun around, and looked for the blue "Sheriff's Gun" nametag. That would help me a bit in locating the murderer. Unfortunately, I was too late, as someone else had picked it up. I jumped down from the bleachers, then peeked out the tent.
There was no-one outside, they were all hiding (or looking for innocents *cough* the murderer *cough*). Well, no-one except a girl with blonde hair who was wearing a lavender blue jacket, along with grey pants. She was running around like a beast, collecting who knows how much gold. Someone said into the innocent's team chat, "The murderer is up in the trees." I glanced up a few of the trees, but saw no rainbow clothed brunette, so I ran.
I ran, and I ran, and I ran. Somehow, I successfully parkoured over the fences which made the waiting line to the ferris wheel. I had already collected 47 gold. I was so, so close to 50. But then...
I accidentally picked up the sheriff's gun. Eh? I thought the sheriff had already been replaced - Oh, their replacement had been killed too. I looked up at the trees, looking for any misplaced colours, any signs of life.
I ran around a bit to make sure I wasn't being followed, then looked up again. I could see a boy dressed in green and orange on top of the ferris wheel. A strange colour scheme, but hey, who was I to judge? I looked at the popcorn - nothing.
Wait. I thought I saw some shades of colour up there... I ran opposite the popcorn, so I could get a good view of the top. Just in time too, the murderer killed yet another person. Shoot, 20 seconds, 2 innocents, 1 sheriff and 1 murderer left. I had to get this kill - for the coins and exp.
I took aim and shot. Missed. Well, the murderer was sprinting fast.
I took aim and shot again. Crap, missed again. Then I saw another innocent, running from the murderer. I was not going to let the murderer kill that person.
For the last time, I took aim and shot. Yes! I shot the murderer, and with 5 seconds left too.
I dropped a "GG!" in the chat, then checked my rewards.
"That was intense..." I muttered, as I opened the chat.
Holy. Actual. S— let's keep this PG13, shall we?
But, for real though...
1950 coins, and 1435 exp...
Now that is what I call a good game of Murder Mystery.
I grabbed a glass of iced tea and drank the whole thing down in one go. I wiped my mouth on my sleeve, then continued playing more Murder Mystery.
After a while, I remembered Jazmine and Ramen. Their argument wasn't really about anything big, really. It had just been about what weapon is better for killing people. Jazmine had said knives, whereas Ramen said guns.
In reality, both are pretty good weapons, and can deal damage almost immediately, depending on how you use it. I personally would probably pick knives, but really, it just depends on whether you are better at close range or long distance fights. Of course, both can be used both ways, but knives are more for close range, guns more for long distance.
Yeah, that's what I'll tell Jazmine and Ramen tomorrow. Now, however, I'm going to play more Murder Mystery.
