Not too bad of a map for MM. It's large enough but it's not too small. (Unlike some maps *cough*)
Of course it can use some more detailing and a better block palette that fits well together.
You see... currently the block palette is kinda everywhere. From what I see, the current block palette is spruce, dark oak, quartz, diamond, glowstone, gold, etc. As it is good to have a variety of blocks, I would say to have them all in the same theme... In my opinion, for this build, my block palette choice would be:
- Spruce and dark oak and regular oak
- Quartz
- Brick
- Stone
- Sea lanterns (still gives off light, yet better to look at than glowstone) or redstone lamps
By using those blocks, I think it would really help bring out the feel of an old-school library rather than just 90% spruce, etc.
Another thing I would suggest detailing are the ceilings.
Add in some sort of pattern with logs, slabs and stairs, maybe even trap doors, and I think it would really make the build have a touch of charm to it (since no one usually pays attention to ceilings).
Last thing I would add is a fire place. (Just make sure fire tick is off)
In the third picture where the table and chairs are, I would totally add in a fire place and rug to really fill in the bare spots. Plus it makes it cozy :3
Overall, I like how you added some realistic things that no one else would usually add in a library build such as the bathrooms. However, I do suggest maybe replacing a few blocks to make the block palette more pleasing to the eye and adding in something to fill in the bare space in the third picture. Good job!
