Marie was a 17-year-old girl that lived until well her sister was abducted by birds. At first, she didn't get it. But still she relized that birds couldn't do much harm. Or could they? She had chased the birds through more and more brambles now and her legs were hurting. Her sister, Zula, was crying like a baby even though she was 15 and needed to start thinking of other people to care for. Also, her best friend was missing. She had been missing for not a while now. How horrible can life get? Marie asked herself still jumping through bushes and barley missing being hit by dead bees or stingers. Finally, the birds stopped. She slowly climbed the tree where they had left her sister and best friend. Her best friend, Rosemary Leger, was always a cry baby. So she wasn't surprised to see both her and her sister crying. Rosemary had sticks like ropes around her hands and a dark hand was arranging on screaming Zula's hand.
"Marie! Save us!" Marie reached down her father's hunter sword she found to help find the birds and kill them. But it wasn't a bird. It was a devil. She squinted into the light but still saw the devil lunging for him she missed and almost fell off the tall tree. The devil laughed and talked in a cold voice that didn't sound like a bird.
"Good luck." Marie wasn't giving up she pushed herself up and came up with an idea too.
"I'm your daughter." She said quietly. The devil's eyes grew larger and he hugged her. As he was doing so Marie stabbed him and there it was. Freedom.
