Defense: Not The Brightest Idea
Although defense does prevent people from killing your mob faster, it shouldn't be a main focus. Defense has many advantages! However, it has more disadvantages.
First of all, you spend a lot of time and resources into making a defense. This is actually very true. It takes so much time to cover up the whole mob, due to its size. Plus, instead of getting XP from kills, all you're doing is wasting your time. Due to the fact people from other teams will always have a few rushers, people may rush to your base before you even finished and destroy your mob easily. Plus, you progress even slower because instead of strengthening and enhancing your generators, you spend all the resources on blocks like wool, sandstone, end stone, wood, and obsidian. You are wasting resources on something that can be destroyed easily.
Second of all, pickaxes exist. "Oh hey, you wanna meet my best friend? Here! His name is pickaxe! He likes to break through obsidian, sandstone, and end stone!" The thing is, the diamond pickaxe can get through obsidian in less than 10 seconds without a doubt. So, while you spent so much time on placing blocks, a guy might just go to your base with a pickaxe and ruin your day.
Third of all, hackers. We all know that there is NO Minecraft server without hackers. In Broken Lens, hackers are very common, especially in SkyWars and MobWars. Some might just make you waste your resources for nothing. They will just go flying mode, kill aura mode, and no-clip mode. Why, isn't that great? You're just chilling out and a hacker says "hi" to your face while they stab your mob to death.
As you can see, defense is not the greatest thing in MobWars. If you CAN manage it, then you must be a god. Anyway, that is my tip. I hope you all enjoyed!
