MM murderer bug?

sorry, I don’t know if it’s a bug or not, anyways sometimes I kill innocents in one hit with the sword? While others it’s twice, it’s not really a problem but, I hit the sherif once with the sword it should’ve killed him(?) although it didn’t and in the end he killed me </3
