MurderMystery

Now to get started!

Area 52 is a map inspired by the "Alien Base" Area 51 but with more futuristic style to it. With tons of places to explore and go but not to big for the murderer to not find anyone. Area 52 has 5 Main Parts

This is where they monitor all the different unique materials they find especially the Green Goo wich they use for power.

Looks ok.I think the biggest problem with this map is that u over did it with the detail and it has startd to look messy with all this stairs and slabs and it creats too much noise.Yea details r good but u have to know when u need to stop with them.Details r there to compliment the build and not be the build itself.Examples r prertty much every pic but more specific 3rd pic from the bottom behind the green tube the stair pattern is completly uncesesarry. Also the whole outside stair pattern that covers the wall behind the crane is completly anesecery aswell(pic 7 from top)

Thats basically the theme of the build. "Stair patterns" was meant to be indentions on the wall wich looks normal and not overdetailed at all. Also the "Stair patterns" was present in 5 out of 16 pictures so idk what you mean.

this is what i was talking about, thats too much for a wall and it looks kinda ugly and its deffo not normall aswell ngl.And the theme of the build is futuristic so idk what u mean with "thats basicly the theme of the build"

Personally, I love all of the details! It really makes the map hold and come together, yet there is still plenty of walking space (at least that I can see). My only suggestion to fix the chairs. They look..... unprofessional (sorry that's the only word I can find.) To do this, flip the chair seat so that it is upside down and the area facing you is the main chair part. Then, add an iron door (it matches the color) to the back of the stair. Just a suggestion. Otherwise, looks amazing!

Stair chairs match the concept of the desk. Sorry. If you want to take up my suggestion by adding a door to the back of the stair or a slab, feel free :)!

Am I missing something? Because I don't see anything like that wall you built anywhere. In 3rd pic from bottom I see a wall with stairs as a decoration and a wall with doubleslabs of quartz......which both look great to me. In the other picture by the crane I see some blocks that stick out from the wall along the window area but it also looks great to me and not too overdetailed.

Slay I think this map is great- people would love playing on it- I love the whole concept. I disagree with Harold about the chairs- I think stair chairs look good- the only one I dont like is the one with the item frames on it but that's just being picky. I have nothing bad to say about it. The only thing I see that could use improvement is the terrain walls could have something besides dirt- you rarely see hills/walls that high that are all dirt/grass. Maybe mix in some stone/cobble/andesite to make it look more natural. If you are attached to having it all dirt/grass mix in some brown wool and brown concrete powder to make it look less "dirty" hehe.

Ig in this concept of cubicles/desks, stair chairs do look better, but yes, that is me being picky.

The word unnecessary was used a few times. Personally, I like all the stair designs, seeing as without them, the tall building and wall would look bland. Sorry, just my opinion. IRYO.
The word unnecessary was used cuz there r different ways of detailing a wall other than filling it with stairs stacked on top of each other

Ill try improving the map a bit more especially the walls. i dont know how to use worldedit so i hand terraformed the walls. Thanks for the advice guys

Thats a way of making the walls less flat. Flat concrete walls would look bad so i added the stair design so it actually looks like a uniqe wall. I think it looks good as a design idk why you keep pointing it out theres nothing wrong with it.
Well i just said what i think about the map.I didnt say make them flat.I was trying to say that u coudl use another way of detailing.

Stairs is literaly the only block you can make a wall out of thats not a full block. Theres no such thing as a futuristic trapdoor other than the retextured oak trapdoor (Iron Trapdoor) or a wall slab. But anyways ill try experimenting with the walls a bit more.
