Yes, i just played it 3 days ago. It was becoming not itself. More like Gmod. Minecraft is dying peacefully in my eyes. It's community has growned up or is scatter across more games, (e.g ROBLOX, Fortnite.) But lets talk about minecraft itself.
Yes, I know I haven't played minecraft over a year (June 8th 2017). But still Minecraft is in a limbo, and a shell of itself. Let me explain how it is dying peacefully...
1.) It's popularly hasn't grown since 2013 and will drop even more.
2.) It's Younger community is grown up, moved to other games or just quit minecraft.
3.) The updates seem like mods or taken assets from mods.
4.) On mobile it's easy to exploit, same as android.
5.) the trend of Minecraft is gone. if you see captainsparkez, his minecraft letsplays are around 75k views and with buzz around 2.7k views.
yeah, lets just say that it's dying peacefully and the trend has died over the years since 2013.
