WARNING: Before I start, I just want to say that I will be talking about other servers a LOT in this thread. I'm not trying to say that these servers are better than BL and you should play them. I'm just talking about how these servers are different when you play these on console. And PLEASE staff, PLEASE, don't get offended by this thread or give me warning points or a ban.
So I had the time to play MCPE servers on my Xbox and I decided to review this to people who maybe want to try this out. I played on all three servers and I noticed major changes to the servers and they'll actually all really fun to play.
So before I get into the server reviews, I just want to say to the people trying to find the servers that you won't find them inside Minecraft Xbox One Edition. Rather, you'll find them in an app simply titled Minecraft. Once you open it, you'll notice that the startup screen is in the same format as PE. That means you're in he right place.
So, what's the big difference about this feature? Well, I'll explain the biggest differences! Well, to start off, it... well... just Minecraft. WAIT, THERE'S MORE! A LOT MORE!
So the first thing I want to talk about is chat. The way you can access the chat is by pressing the right key on the control pad. Sure, it's still possible to chat, but nobody really does it anymore because of how slow it is to chat on Xbox. And I'm pretty sure that you can't even chat on Crapboat anyway. I tried sending a message in there twice, but it didn't come through. The only time I saw people chat was in InPvP. And speaking of LifeBoat, you can't even imagine how much better it is to enter the LB lobby and not hear, "s♥♥", "s♥♥", "Say 123 for s♥♥".
The second thing I want to talk about is lag. Well, TBH, I haven't experienced that much lag while playing the server. I saw no distance lag AT ALL. The only lag I experienced was from other player's bad connections.
So now it's time for me to talk about all three servers in their own paragraphs:
Lifeboat:
Did you see how I didn't call in Crapboat? Well... you may think I'm crazy, but... LIFEBOAT IS A FUN SERVER WHEN PLAYING ON CONSOLE! Yeah, you heard that right. I'm not crazy. I'm not out of my mind. I'm not high on drugs. I actually think that this server is fun to play on console. Well, just imagine LifeBoat but without the dating and the lag. This is the Lifeboat that it should've been. It still has the VIP ads everywhere, but besides that, I actually recommend it if you have an Xbox!
InPvP:
Well, there's not a lot to say about this. This the one that has chat but after playing this server for an hour, I only got 2 messages in the chat. I only played Moneywars on the server and there was little to no lag so that's always good!
Mineplex:
So this server wasn't that laggy in he first place, so having no lag wasn't that much of a difference. I can't that much else about it except for one thing. So, of course the server is in better quality, but of course it's in better quality. You're on a 300GB console, not a 12GB phone. The biggest thing I noticed was in bomb lobbers. When someone threw TNT, it showed the full launch animation and was in much better quality.
So, this is my review on Xbox servers. I think this is a great alternative to BL until all the bugs get fixed. And again, this was not made for advertising servers and telling people not to play BL. It's about reviewing servers on Xbox and talking about the pros and cons of this new feature. And maybe one day, BL will be added to the list! And please staff, I'll say this again, PLEASE don't ban me.
