Agreed.
If helpers can build maps, there is no really point of having builders here. I saw some maps built by a mod and it says brokenlens build team? @_PineappleDeath_ isn't that builder's job? Why do helpers or mod like you build maps? do you even know what your role is? See the unfair for the builders.

You people ask for new maps, then whenever we give them to you, you still find a reason to complain.. ヽ（´ー｀）┌

The build server is for all staff, including builders - while it’s not necessarily our ‘job’, it’s something we’re allowed to do, it’s definitely not hurting anybody if a staff member builds a map. - If someone submits a map, then gets accepted as a helper, do you think we shouldn’t accept their amazing map, simply because they’re a staff now? I mean if that’s the case, why should we even accept maps made by players, since they aren’t builders? Even the owner has built a map or two, if I remember correctly.

What you just said is true. But it's kind of unfair for the builders? A mod like you can ban and build maps, even though you're not the official BL builder? But why do builders can only build maps? they don't have the same thing like you? It looks unfair for me how higher staff ranks can change their roles down while builders can't.

The main purpose of a builder is to simply build maps (they obviously do more than that lol), staff members are much more powerful and have different duties - the helper / builder application is also very different. We obviously wouldn’t let some staff member build a dirt house then upload it as a MM map or whatever, the maps are checked by builders / Vertx before they’re uploaded into the server.

While a staff members main purpose isn’t to create maps, if we have the free time then I don’t think there’s much harm in it, even a builder could try helping out or apply for staff, if they really wanted to. The build team captain / co-captain (I’m not 100% sure about the co-captain cause like, I forgot lol - but I’m 99% sure they can :thinking-face:) have staff perms as well, but they’re still able to build maps.

I’m friends with like, pretty much everybody on the staff team, including the builders, I’m fairly certain none of them even care there’s a couple staff members building maps, I’ve even built a map with one before. They definitely do a lot more (building wise) whenever it comes to maps, like the whole server has hundreds of maps and 95% of them are most likely made by builders.

I'll still build some maps if I got accepted as a helper though. HAHA, sorry :notworthy: :lmao:
