Hey. I haven't been of forums or server for a while. This is because I have decided to leave. I will still be occasionally on but not very much. I have decided to leave because of me perusing other interests and me getting exhausted from controversy over a block game. (Some of which I started myself hehehehe).
I recently watched a video about this server and It's evolution over time and a lot of problems I've realised about the community which I want to talk about iin this thread as it pertains to why I am leaving.
I believe that the server is divided to an absurd point. There needs to be something that stiches it back together. I know everyone has there own opinion and they want to voice it but now the entire forums has become two sided battles over shOulD tHiS bE aDDeD or battles of players vs staff where many staff actions as of lately have become controversial. I"'ll admit I started some controversy but I have one thing to say: The only way to stop this and make a healthier playerbase is to change the server for the better as a lack of change is what causes drama about many things involving what should be added. (One reason the server needs more people who can code).
I know I was a bit of a jerk and that was just because I got caught up in the whirlpool of drama that others have been caught in.
My final message is to say that you don't want the same fate as me. I originally wanted to try to change things for the better but became a bit ignored and so I used drama to get my point out.
In no way am I emotional in any way about this. I am merely analysing my actions and saying what I did wrong, and this is what I am analysing the community of doing.
Currently BrokenLens is on a downward spiral towards a dead server with no updates and community drama(yes @vertx you are a legend in terms of the changes you do but please get other people who can code).
