You guys should really calm down. The user who created this thread has already apologized for how they felt and what they said and they even went and individually apologized on certain staff accounts.

Yeah but she doesn’t have to argue with anyone who criticizes the server and I already stated that this is just opinion based. Personally brokenlens is pretty fun I just wish that more players played Brokenlens. Anyways, Ducky you don’t have to that but if you want that’s fine.

Vertx himself is currently coding away during one of the hardest times during brokenlens, I was a member since 2017. I actually quit twice because how boring 2017-2018 was. The better together update also impacted the player base. Though they brought back joining with no xbox account to brokenlens. Theres maps being built and staff are working so hard to impact the player base and make everyone happy, they’re constantly banning hackers and builders are making maps, you come to forums and trash the server for fun. so few things:
1. As everyone else said, vertx is the one who can add games and does all the coding; there’s only one vertx here, not an entire team of developers. And vertx is a human, he has his own life too and the amount of work done here in the server is actually the entire staff team’s best effort; I don’t think it’s lacking at all because again, they’re all humans; not robots, not computers, humans.
2. I could be completely off but there’s more than 1 problem to the server than just being “boring” overall. The server gained popularity because of the fact that it’s known for allowing non-xBox players, popular YouTubers made videos about this server, and it had high rankings in pe server lists. Plus, featured servers exist. New mc players who want to play servers would just play the featured ones because it’s really less work; just get an Xbox account and join. So therefore servers that are not featured don’t really have high popularity anymore.
3. There’s already a wide range of games to play. BrokenLens has around 20 mini games, compared to some featured servers that are more popular than BrokenLens which only have around 5-10. The reason why people think the range of games to play is “small” is because half the games are dead. Again, low popularity. BrokenLens fell off the charts. Is that the staff’s fault? Partially, but that’s only because they are already doing everything they can; you can’t blame them for having a life. Trust me, if you ever play the dead games, they are fun. You also gotta appreciate the fact that these hundreds of maps are made from the hard work of the community and the staff team. Hours of work are put into every single bit of this server. The games, the forums, the maps, the menu where you buy kits and cosmetics, the ranks, the leaderboard, the commands, the chats like grm, frm, and prm, the crews; everything.

That is true though now people can express on how they feel about the server about what they like and dislike about it.

I'm not blaming anyone specifically :x3: I'm just trying to keep the thread for getting to a point where staff are gonna lock it...But it seems like they might just end up having to cause as you mentioned, people joining are mainly seeing what was said during the moment and are responding on that.

I agree with both of you that new players joining in the conversation should stop talking about the argument since it’s done and there’s nothing more to discuss so now talk about what you like and don’t like about the server!

So, now that that's cleared up @EPICBLITZGAMEZ I would love to hear you're opinion on how you'd like to see the game updated. I read where you mentioned what you'd like to see happen in 2021 as opposed to past years, but I'd love to know what type of updates you think should be added that you believe would make the game more fun? :laugh:

I believe that with many of the current updates (that ive seen so far) even with the new maps, that the game has gotten a lot more enjoyable! I do know many people have had things to say about certain situations, even with staff, but note the staff doesn't actually work on here and they are looking for more people to be active alongside them in the server to make it a player-friendly zone. Also, brokenlens added Krazy Karts not that long ago and before Vertx can begin adding tons of more games to the server I'm positive he's trying to edit and fix the bugs in the current game (unless he already has idk)...but yes! I'd love to hear your feedback hun!

I believe a good fix for that would be to help promote the server...many of you play on it and now that cross platform is out you can support the server by promoting it in their games and in your worlds. Even how the staff posts on their social media accounts, and in their stories..if you don't want to post on your account try spreading the word...you can mention it in your bio or descriptions or whatever you like. :laugh: I don't know if Brokenlens has anything like that that promotes the server for minecraft but we have thousands of players who can just support it altogether. Honestly many of my friends in real life found the server because I recommended it to them and played with them. :D

You don't have to Muffin, I'm saying I believe that could help...:bookworm: Mainly because that's how many people I know personally came to the game and a few of them are still playing on the server to this day. So I believe that the server is already doing an amazing job of keeping people here. But also, many people who have been here were older (that i know anyway) and they left the server, gone off to collage, started jobs, etc. so now that many of the og players of this time are going we just need to start getting more of the younger og generation to hop on.

I think Brokenlens has a good variety of games- mobwars is almost identical to bedwars so I don't think you will see bedwars here- also unless Brokenlens becomes a featured server my personal belief is it will never have 8000 people a day again because there are now all these featured servers listed as soon as players open minecraft so noone has to go searching for a minecraft server any more- I don't know if what we have for games will be "updated" because they are all good games in there own right- as for new games vertx always has something in the works- he recently released Mobwars Solos which I know isn't "new" as we already had Mobwars teams and Krazy Karts which is 100% unique to Brokenlens- I haven't played other servers so I'm not able to compare but I feel as though we have quite a good cross-section of games and a good balance of pvp vs non-pvp games- know that vertx is always working to make the server better and I'm sure he will consider your suggestions ♡

this isn’t true; Thea reason the player count dropped was because of the Xbox update. Where you had to have an Xbox account, and since most people who played weren’t playing with an Xbox account signed in, they stopped playing or couldn’t be bothered making one
